Up for auction is my 1982 Porsche 928. I purchased this car in 2004 from the second owner with 64K miles. The second owner had kept maintenance documentation from the first owner and had documentation of his own service; which I have kept. The timing belt was changed at 63K miles. Over the last 8 years I have put only 6K miles on the car. I do change the oil myself on a yearly basis, part of the winter storage procedure. The oil comes out just as clean as it goes in but I like to make sure it is done regularly. The car is garage kept year round and is only driven in the sunshine. It runs strong, shifts smooth, looks great and turn heads, even at local car shows. The tires where replaced before me and still look brand new. Here are the updates that I have done to the car. Replaced the right rear wheel bearing. Changed the engine fan to electric (I still have the original fan and belt that can be changed back), replaced the hood liner 2012 (started to degrade from age), and replaced the muffler (2012). The paint is original and does show some signs of being 30 years old. The hood has minor chips, some filled in before I got the car. There are NO dings and NO rust on the vehicle. As you can see from the photos the vehicle is pampered. Besides the fan, hood liner, and muffler, the only things that are not original on the car are the tires, radio and the jack stand. There is a radar detector in the car that looks like it is from 1980's. It is hard wired in and does work (not for laser though). The interior is in excellent condition. No tears or fading. The dashboard is in excellent condition as well. No cracks. The carpet looks brand new. It also has the Porsche Crest car mats. I believe these are hard to get and rare. I also have a car cover and a front end bra. I have a Car Fax report (Clean no issues) and can send it to interested parties upon request. I am selling the car because we are planning to buy a vacation home. The limited time I have driving the car will be much less in the future so it is time to move it to somebody who will enjoy it as much as I have. I have only put approximately 2K miles on the car since owning it. The mileage is correct on the car. The description was not.
