Vehicle Detail
Here is a another One Time shot at this 1968 Dodge Charger. Original small block 318 car. I just pulled this out of a garage where it has been sitting since 1985. I have spent some time with the second owner of this car and have some nice documentation of this car including gas logs that date back to 1973 original build sheet and owners manual, etc. This car has a huge case of "The Good - The Bad - The Ugly" The Good: The hard to find parts are all over this thing and are in good shape. For the most part this is an unmolested car. The engine fires right up and runs great from a gas jug. It has no knocks pings or smoke. I just put on a master cylnder and wheel cylinder on the car since the last listing. The car will plop right into gear and drive in my driveway but there are just enough brakes to load on a trailor. This is NO Where near drivable for the road as it only has one brake working. I did pull the seats out because I removed the carpet and I wanted to locatethe build sheet. The Bad: Sheet metal has seen better days. Every body panel has rust. Everyone has their own opinions on what can be saved or patched. In my opinion the hood, decklid, trunk floor, floorboards and front valance are workable. The rest of the car needs new sheet metal. The front fenders just need a lower patch. The Ugly: The passenger side crossmember frame rail is rotten. I know you can buy a patch for this area and weld it in. There is a spot in the front rail driver's side. The rear frame rail has a little rust, I have seen a lot worse on driving cars. Passenger side upper A-arm is rusted. Details: The grille on the car is absolutely beautiful. No Cracks No warps No missing anything. The picture of the hood has passenger side cleaned from dirt and driver's side the way it was from sitting. The brown spots are not rust just primer under peeling paint. Engine compartment is fine with the exception of the battery tray area where it is rusted away. The battery stays with me because it is out of another car of mine but we will use it to get it loaded. The interior is all there and in good shape. The interior door panels have never been removed. The dash is all complete with original radio (wires cut). The dash pad and console lid has some type of cover on them. Console has a crack but all the trim is in real nice shape. I have the original keys. The rear glass trim and seat belts are included but not pictured. The passenger side cozy wing is busted out but I have another one that comes with the car. Car is for sale locally so the auction can be stopped at anytime time. Car needs to be picked up within two weeks of end of auction, we can work it out. No ZERO Feedback bidders will be accepted. No Trades - No Financing - No Spammers Call with any questions 513-31zero- 45eleven or e-mail. I have a perfect rating for a reason. The car needs a complete restoration. This is not a diamond in the rough. It does have a lot of nice parts and thats exactly whats going to happen if it doesn't sell. I just wanted try and give someone the opportunity to buy it in-tact first. I hate parting cars out but this one is not an easy fix. The next time you will see this car listed it will be a shell.
