This car was one family owned for the last 40 years. If you are looking at this listing you probably know how rare and expensive this Packard model is when properly restored. There is a huge amount of potential profit in this vehicle at this price point if you are able to perform any of the work needed yourself. May take an interesting trade ?? It is equipped with all the Packard Caribbean features including power windows, power seat. power steering , power brakes, and power top. There were 400 of this rare model built and was one of the most expensive retail priced luxury cars of it's day. Over $6200 original sticker price. Obviously only the affluent bought these cars new. This is a solid car with very little in the way of rust issues. It is in good condition for it's age and I believe you don't find this model in this price range very often as there are only a couple of these listed for sale world wide and they are listed between $90K and $130K. This car still has a good look and the paint could definitely use a good buffing and detail. It would not have to be totally refinished unless you are restoring to top condition, but as always with older paint , a full paint job would make it look it's best and it has it's share of paint chips and flaws as it is an old paint finish. The chrome and stainless are original and there is some age on some of the chrome but most is useable as is unless you are going full restoration then rechrome will be required on several trim pieces. It does however need a restoration to climb to the top of the value range....which 3-4 years ago was in the $130K - $165K range with a proper restoration. Old Cars Weekly Price Guide still rates the #1 price range at $135K. This car is not running currently and the engine will not turn over so an engine rebuild is necessary. The interior is in very good condition as you can see in the pics. The convertible top is decades old and still looks good but will need replacing at some point . The radio does operate. The paint is old and the areas below the doors that look like rust is where the paint is deteriorated where the window motor fluid( brake fluid) has commonly leaked from the window motors and deteriorates the paint , it is not rust holes.
