This well cared for 1971 MGB roadster is the perfect summer car for spirited driving to the beach or to the countryside. The car has been garaged for most of its life and owned for the past ten year by an older couple who only put on a few hundred miles per year on it. Very good original condition throughout with excellent ripple-free straight bodywork and good door gaps. Paint condition is good and glossy, shows very well. Features desirable chrome bumpers, bumper guards, and trim which is in excellent condition. Desirable wire wheels were just professionally refinished and really highlight the car. Interior, including carpeting, is in very good original condition showing little sign of wear. Seats are very comfortable, headrests included, new 3-point inertia reel seat belts were added for extra safety. No cracks in dashboard, a rarity in these cars. Tires are in great condition showing very little tread wear. Odometer reads 36,080 miles but actual mileage cannot be verified. No cracks or chips in any glass. Gets attention and shows well wherever it goes. The car starts right up, runs easily, and idles smoothly. Engine is very strong and torquey for this displacement engine lending itself to spirited driving. No engine smoke, normal low oil consumption. Nice throaty exhaust note from the Ansa exhaust system. The car also shifts well with its standard 4-speed short throw gearbox. Brakes work well. Trunk includes a brand new Nokia spare tire on a refinished wire wheel, knockoff hub wrench, and original MGB jack. Electric system is fine with no known issues, there are no oil or fluid leaks. Exhaust system is excellent. Cooling system is fine, car operates for sustained periods of time in normal temperature range. A good amount of paperwork is included with the car, including an MGB owners manual and receipts for all work performed. The oil pressure gauge works intermittently, but oil pressure has been tested as fine. Paint has been touched up in a few small spots. This is the original color of the car.
