Vehicle Detail

Great family cruiser, gets thumbs up everywhere we go! Top looks new and comes with a boot(its not used much so its still tight and a little hard to stretch it on). Power top is working. Sequental turn signals. Needs a passanger side rear view mirror- but the base is there. New aftermarket Cougar am/fm radio with new aftermarket door speakers($400 kit)-the radio has an mp3 jack in the back of it-but the mechanic I used to do the work didnt run the wire-but its there) New custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system with a nice sounding rumble. The front end was rebuilt about 2 years ago with new KYB shocks all the way around the car. It has American Racing alloy mags with gold center accents (see pics) and Goodyear Eagle St tires-that look to have 50% tread left (as stated by my tire shop).New Petronix electronic ignition added about a year ago. Told by my mechanic all parts stores carry this brand so easy fix if needed.. Headlamps have been replacerd with halogens. 2 bbl carberator was recently (6-9 months) rebuilt (it had a leak) . The gas gauge and the speedometer aren't working-my mechanic looked at the gas gauge and said it was most likely the sending unit which needed replaced, but I just filler up each time I go out-this cars been kept in the garage and only driven on nice days since I've had it (2yrs). I dont' know much of the cars history-its got a Texas inspection sticker from 1983. I got it from a dealer from Indiana who said he'd purchased it from a Texas family. Vin checks dont work on these old cars so no way to prove any of that. The paint job is fairly new I believe and looks really good to the untrained eye(and I'm an untrained eye) however, its got some overspray in places. The car is 40 + years old, has normal wear and tear and some rust spots. It is by no means a show car . If your not looking to spend 20 grand or more to get a classic red convertible that looks great, sounds great and will get you noticed everywhere you go this may be your car. The car is long (approx 187 inches), fits in my garage but I can't get to my work bench-which is my reason for selling. A $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction within 48 hours. Car and title wont be released until funds have cleared my account. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pickup. Shipping quote is available.
