Vehicle Detail

I have owned this truck since 1989 (second owner - purchased it from an individual who was getting married and wanted a more family-friendly vehicle), but I don't have time to work on it anymore. This truck has never been in an accident, has no dents, has never been off-road, and has always run great - quiet and used no oil. But it is now in need of some reapirs in order to drive it, or is great for parts if you already have one of these classic trucks. Firstly, it has a starting problem, which first started last year. After I replaced the battery and ignition coil, it started right up - at least for several months. When I tried it recently, it turns over fine, but it won't start. I just replaced all the spark plug and coil wires with no change. I am guessing that there is a problem in the ignition system. I am selling this strictly as-is, where-is, so the buyer will have to arrange their own towing from Oxon Hill, MD. The truck is located on my lot only about two miles outside of DC and near the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495) Other items that I am aware of that are in need of repair are the rear axle, water pump (I piurchased a brand new one but it is still in the box and will be included - these can be a bit hard to find in my area), parking brake cable (it has rusted), AC (not working - may need to be recharged), valve cover gasket has a slight oil leak, the power window motor on the passenger side works but is slow (it is a replacement rebuilt one -guess I should have gone with a new one). I had the rear axle repaired at about 62,000 miles, but unfortunately the shop apparently didn't know what they were doing as the rear is making noise again. The interior is in good shape, considering the age, and I have always covered all the seats (the seat covers, no shown in the photos, are also included). I also have the original tire cover, but the elastic has worn out, but it could be repaired. As you can see from the photos, the exterior is in good condition, except for some rust on the fenders, and I also notice some rust around the taiillights when I open the rear hatch. The truck has part-time four wheel drive (meaning it should only be used in snowy conditions or off-road and not on dry pavement), with the manual locking hubs, and a low and high range. I have never had a problem with the 4WD or the the 5-speed manual transmission. Any questions, please ask and thanks for looking. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE!! Ebay will charge me $60 if the auction ends with any bids. Yes, it is refundable if the winning bifdder does not go through with the sale, but it ties me up for 6 business days while the non-bidding process works itself through. (I learned this from experience with a van I sold on ebay last year). $100 deposit required upon successful bid, balance in cash, money order or certified check due upon vehicle pickup.
