Vehicle Detail

For sale here is my 2009 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The GT500 was purchased in December of 2008 and was immediately stored with 33 miles on the odometer. Shelby Automobiles called me in mid-2009 to get my car transported to their facility in Las Vegas for the Super Snake upgrade. I did not get the car back until late summer of 2009. They installed the following options on this car for me: 725 HP Kenne Bell Supercharger High Polish Finish on Supercharger (additional $1,300.00) Ford Racing Suspension Quarter Window Scoops Red Front 6-Piston Brakes with Black Lettering Red Rear 6-Piston Brakes with Black Lettering (additional $3,995.00) Heavy-Duty Cooling System with Aluminum Finish (additional $2,995.00) Interior Upgrade Package - Front and Rear Seats All Black Leather (additional $1,999.00). The Seats, New Shifter Boot and Console were Double- Stitched in Red and Console Cover and Front/Rear Seats Stitched with New Shelby Logos (special requested from factory) Shelby Kicker Sound System and Shelby Kicker Floor Mat For Trunk (additional $1,649.00) Shelby 6-Speed White Ball Shifter (additional $199.95) Total investment for the GT500 car, the conversion to Super Snake and accessories to date is approximately $97,000.00. I have receipts for all of these costs. At the time of the order, only one other 07-09 Super Snake had the double-red stitching per the shop that does the work for Shelby. That other car was unlikely to also have the highly sought after black on black color, the polished 725 HP supercharger upgrade, the rear brake upgrade, the heavy duty cooling package and the sound system upgrade. At the time of the leather work, I asked Gary Disney (Shelby leather installer) why they were not covering the parking brake lever with a leather boot. He thought about this and called me back, agreeing to give it a shot. He purchased a Ford parking brake lever for me and covered it for me in the same leather and stitching and sent it to me separately. I see that he is doing this on some other cars now. This work was done and billed thru Shelby and is not "aftermarket". See pictures in the link below to see the parking brake which I have not had a chance to install. Everything that has been installed on this car by Shelby is too numerous to list here but is listed in the documentation that comes with the car.I also purchased a 2009 Ford Mustang Sun Visor and had it signed by Mr. Shelby. He would sign items for you if you sent a 250.00 donation to his Carroll Shelby Foundation charity. A certificate of authenticity comes with the signed item. The sun visor has not been installed but will be included in the sale. I have purchased approximately $900.00 worth of additional accessories from the Shelby Performance Parts shop such as a Shelby polished engine strut bar, license plate frame, faux fuel cap ring, black billet fuel door, under hood hardware set, battery hold down brackets, billet shock tower caps and fuse box top cover. I have receipts for these items. I have put a "fat" black Hurst shifter ball on the car because the Shelby white shifter ball was too small for my hand. I will put the Shelby ball back on the shifter if the car is sold. Alternatively you can keep the Hurst ball on there if you would like, at no extra charge. This is the only non-stock part on the car. To summarize, this car is likely to be very unique, even among the other Super Snake upgrades that have been done. All options and accessories are updated in the Shelby Registry. To see 68 current photos of this car, please go to the following link. You can increase the size of each photo by clicking on it. You can increase the size twice.http://s785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/RA455HO4SPD/2009%20Shelby%20Super%20Snake/Current%20Pictures%20of%20Super%20Snake/?start=allI have added a few pictures to the 24 in this listing that show the true black color of the leather. The flash tends to make the black colors look grey. I also had all of the “born with” parts that were taken off of the car during the Super Snake upgrade returned to me. This includes the wheels, tires, supercharger and hood. These parts have 33 miles on them and I have had custom boxes created for each one. To see 81 photos of the parts that were removed and returned to me, please go to the following link:http://s785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/RA455HO4SPD/2009%20Shelby%20Super%20Snake/Shelby%20Take-Off%20Parts%20for%20Super%20Snake%20Conversion/?start=allTo see 4 photos of the car as it is being dropped off to Shelby in Las Vegas; please go to the following link: http://s785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/RA455HO4SPD/2009%20Shelby%20Super%20Snake/GT500%20%20-%20Dropped%20Off%20in%20Las%20Vegas%20for%20Conversion/?start=allAs you can see, the GT500 that I purchased was unique as well in that it was a top tape stripe delete and side tape stripe delete car to begin with. All other options at the time were on the car as well including the HID headlamps, Ambient lighting, GT500 premium trim and the Shaker 1000 sound system. If you want to see photos of the car being delivered to me from Shelby, please go to the following link: http://s785.photobucket.com/albums/yy139/RA455HO4SPD/2009%20Shelby%20Super%20Snake/Delivery%20of%20Super%20Snake/?start=allI have put very few miles on this car (337) and it is in “as new” condition. It has been stored underneath a custom cover (included) in a heated, dehumidified climate controlled environment and has never seen rain (or much of any road). It has had a Goldenrod warmer running inside the car in winters to prevent mildew. The leather was treated with Lexol leather preservative each year and the leather is as new. It has been on a battery tender when not in use. The car has had Mobile1 oil changes in the fall of each year to prevent any acid build-up within the engine. The gas tank was topped off and the gasoline is treated with Sta-bil fuel stabilizer before winter storage to prevent condensation and "varnish" in the fuel tank and lines. The car was washed and waxed several times each summer. I have two boxes of documentation on the GT500 purchase and correspondence with Shelby such as sales orders, receipts, etc. that will accompany the car. I am attempting to sell this car so that I can purchase a super low miles 2006 Ford GT. If it does not sell here I will just continue to enjoy the few miles per year that I put on it. This car attracts A LOT of attention. People don't always know exactly what it is but they know that this is a very special vehicle. Dozens of spectators actually walked out into the middle of Woodward Avenue during the last Woodward Dreamcruise to shoot photos of it, ignoring some high-dollar Italian cars. This car is extremely fast. The combination of the high horses, the racing suspension and the super sticky Pirelli tires make sure that the awesome power in this monster is used very efficiently. This car has been priced well and I am including a lot of extras for the money. Please compare to other postings with thousands of miles on the car and a price that is tens of thousands of dollars more. With the very unfortunate passing of Mr. Shelby this week, this car should see an increase in value over time. Especially with the hand-written signature. Payment is expected within 7 days. Cash, a wire transfer or a verifiable cashier’s check from a bank are the only accepted methods of payment. Please do us both a favor and DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FUNDS OR FINANCING PRE-APPROVED or if you do not have permission from your significant other to complete this transaction! Transportation of the car and the take-off parts will be your responsibility though I can easily recommend an excellent service that transported my car to Las Vegas and back for the conversion. The take-off parts came back in the same trailer as the car. I hope that I have described everything adequately. If not, please let me know your question and I will answer it to the best of my abilities. I work out of my home office lately and I am available to show you the car any time during this posting. Joyrides will not happen for obvious reasons! Thank you for viewing my posting and good luck with your bidding!
