Vehicle Detail

Check my feedback! I don't BS my listings! 1966 Buick Skylark Special Deluxe. Frame off restoration from the ground up. 2 year restoration started with a straight and original car with minor rust issues. Everything taken to bare metal, etch primed, epoxy primed and urethane topcoated. Nothing has been overlooked. Frame is perfect, body is solid sheetmetal, this car has nothing to hide. Here is a link to part of the restoration process, more to come: http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii32/finkfork/66%20Skylark%20430/ The engine is a professionally built and balanced 1968 Buick Riviera 430 big block bored .020 over with Kieth Black 10:1 pistons and a 230 int/ ex T/A performance cam. Rockers have been upgraded with T/A parts for the bigger cam. Starts up very easy. Distr upgraded to HEI. Paint is three coats of two part Buick red engine paint, impervious to gasoline and heat. Carb is a 750 Edelbrock. Engine runs flawlessly and is loaded with power. Has about 3000 street miles on it. Over $4K in the engine alone. Transmission is a TH 350 from a 72 Cutlass. Shifts great through the gears, feels tight. Original power steering box, steering column changed from column to floor shift, brand new stainless column with 6-way tilt and a 15" 3 spoke steering wheel from a 73 Electra. Solid linkage floor shift is very smooth. Wheels are 15x7 aluminum GM Camaro wheels, tires are General Altimax R/T performance street, brand new, still have the nubs. New ball joints, BMR front springs to handle the new big block, new rear springs. All new brake system, new hoses, hard lines and connectors. Brakes upgraded to front disc. New SSBC large resivoir master cyinder and chrome booster. New trunk pans, new front floor pans, firewall smoothed. All lights upgraded to LED, all lights work, all electrical and wiring is solid and functional with lots of new parts. Blower fan, wipers, gauges, instrument lights, everything works perfect. Interior also has lots of new parts, new headliner, new maroon carpet, dash cap has been changed over to a solid cap, the dash panel is perfect, no holes cut in it, no pitting. 6x9 speakers mounted in the kick panels. Front bench changed to a pair of tan GM bucket seats. Seats are in good condition, back seats have been re-upolstered in a textured tan suede. New door panels, I'm still not done installing the outer door handles, window cranks and arm rests, but I'll update the pictures when that is done. All weatherstripping is new. New window felt. All glass is solid. Windows roll up and down smooth. Doors and trunk open and close perfect. Runs down the road great, no wierd noises or vibrations. New dual exhaust system, not too loud, not too quiet. This car is a full rebuild and everything has been done by the book with the official 1966 Buick Service Manual. I'll include this manual with the car. Anything you want to know, just ask.
