1979 GMC High Sierra 4x4 shortbox with factory 400 cubic inch v8 with 104873 original miles. This is a very Rare truck, that has only had two onwers its whole life to my knowledge. It has the original unmodified drivetrain from the factory that came equipped with the 400 cubic inch v8 and turbo 400 automatic transmission. The motors runs and drives good. It still has the original intake and carb, stock manifolds, and factory air box. No aftermarket stuff!. The turbo 400 transmission shifts good in all gears, with no problems. Steering and suspension, are in exceptional condition, it tracks down the road very well with no play in the wheel. Has a bed liner installed, The four wheel drive ingages and works as should. The truck does not have a tow package on it, which i really like, it tells me the truck has not ben over worked. The truck does have a/c with all systems still intact but currently does not work, but the heat works very well. It does have tilt wheel. The truck has great brakes that were redone recently, and has brand new firestone tires. The interior is great shape, other than dash pad has typiclal cracks. The body is solid and has only one dent on back passenger bed half way down about 3 to 4 inches hard to see in pictures .It has a couple small spots that are bubbling, but this is a solid truck not a rust bucket. This will make a great truck to restore completely for very little money. Or daily drive as it currently is, because its completely turn key. The total bill ended up being $1497.56 plus $200 in parts bought at local auto parts place. and I have receipts.
