I'm selling a 1979 E12 BMW 528i. The car was bought from the second owner who had it for 5 years. Both the first and second owners had the car serviced at BMW repair shops. This BMW is very solid. The car has some flaws but overall is in good condition. The car runs and drives very well. With the exception of the bottom corner of the passenger side door this BMW has no rust; the chassis is very, very solid thanks to being a California car that has always been in the San Francisco Bay Area. We bought this car with the intention giving to our son (keep the BMW trend at home) but he wanted a pick-up instead so regrettably we need to sell it. This BMW does not appear to have ever been in accident; the paint seems to be original although it shows some minor fading on the hood. The car has not been abused and the wear is just the normal wear form a daily driven car. The cooling system is in good shape; the car runs at its normal temperature. Both the heater and A/C are working flawless; the A/C blows nice and cold. The Sunroof works without issues. Recent work that we did - New Catalytic converter (for California as the smog standards are very tight and the original cat was borderline) - New spark plugs - New Cap and rotor - New Spark plug wires Cosmetic and Mechanical issues that the car has: - Power steering hose leaks - Ignition switch slightly loose - Rear passenger door lock actuator sticky - Trunk lid springs need to be reinstalled - Seats have some tears - Dash has a couple of cracks - Paint has some scratches and small cracks This great BMW is a great car for somebody that loves and has passion for vintage BMW’s.
