Vehicle Detail
A buddy of mine recently uncovered this car along with some other Alfas. I bought this GTV6 along with a Spyder. This car has had 2 owners as far as I understand it. The retired couple who bought this in 1991 have had it stored indoors since the purchase. That's almost 22 years indoors. I have no idea if she runs or not. The story that was told to me was that quite a bit of performance engine work was done to the car. Head porting and polishing, valve work, headers, springs, shocks, sway bar, etc. More than $6000 was spent on these upgrades. The story goes that the car was soon thereafter run into a tree or stump or something low to the ground as the right front corner has a hard crash. Weather this makes the car a parts car or not I am not sure. I thought it would be a great engine donor but now I do not have the heart to part her out and the Spyder will take all of my time, what little exists. I think the combination of this engine and suspension and the low miles make her a candidate for someone who can do her needed body work. At any rate Im hoping to find a good home for her. Car is for sale locally so I reserve right to end auction early...Thanks I will get some photos of inside and right front crashed corner in next couple days...Thanks On May-18-12 at 21:14:37 PDT, seller added the following information:For those of you who have asked, I tried to get a body and fender guy out to see the car this week to no avail. I really honestly have no idea of what she needs to get on the road. The engine looks super and with the exception of the results of her crunch mostly hard on right front corner and a little on left from corner she seems pretty good. The interior seats look good in need of some soaking of leather treatment but I saw no obvious tears. The stereo and speakers have been removed for some unknown reason. carpets look to have little wear other than from 20 years in a barn. The dash looks like all Alfa dashes I have seen. Please see the new photos I have added. If I had the time I would probably build a cool race car out of that fantastic engine.
