Vehicle Detail
A walk around of the vehicle, also showing there is no smoke. (My nephew and I were on our way to play basketball, hence the clothes/basketball) http://youtu.be/viE6Kqu8OCQ Driving the vehicle, showing there are no grinds and no engine issues. http://youtu.be/FlYPABNuw0c Engaging VVTL-I, showing it engages fine. http://youtu.be/zCrGU589SVE PLEASE READ FULLY to ensure you know what you are purchasing! Don't let the pictures do all the talking. 2000 Celica GT-S 6 speed manual transmission 1.8L 2ZZ-GE engine Stock except heated driver seat Adult owned, adult driven Engine: Stock - runs great, no leaks or strange noises noticed This is a DOHC engine. I have brought it up to VVL-Ti engagement 2-3 times and it works (honestly I did it just to experience it, I'm by no means a racer) New Denso Iridium SK20R11 spark plugs Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Oil change (has about another 500 miles before oil change is due) Missing some clips to hold plastic covers in place in the engine everything is held in fine but just wanted to mention it! Makes a gurgle sound on start up on occasion, I read a coolant "burp" will fix it. On very very rare occasions I've noticed the idle will jump slightly like 900 rpms to 1000 rpms and back down, I read this would either be IACV needs to be cleaned (not replaced) or can be fixed with proper "burping" of the coolant system (kill 2 birds with 1 stone!) Once and awhile when you first begin driving you can hear a whine or something, so possibly the belt needs to be replaced or re-tensioned) Transmission / Drive assembly: 6 speed Manual, shifts great no grinds. No clutch issues, feels like lots of life left No clicking noises from CV axles No wheel bearing noises Suspension/Brakes: 2 sets of rims/tires 1st set is summer tires on 16 optional Toyota rims, tires are worn and should be changed by mid-summer 2nd set is all- season tires on 15 steel wheels with Toyota Hub Caps, tires are in great shape with plenty of life. Struts/shocks/springs feel fine but they look like the originals so I'm sure the car will feel a lot better with a newer set installed All rotors and pads are newer New calipers on the rear Parking cable has some slack and needs a proper adjustment, on inclines the car will roll backwards (if you leave it in first gear it will hold but I don't like doing this method) Interior: Heat, A/C, Defrost all work. Leather seats, driver side seat has a heating unit installed (great for the winter months) Driver side seat stitching doesn't look the best (pictured), but has held up fine with no issues (just doesn't look the best) Everything is fully functional (mirrors, windows, locks, radio, glove box, etc.), except lighting on climate control (I guess this is a common issue for this generation of Celicas) Leather steering wheel has some stitching that has become loose (can't even notice as far as grip goes, only when you look down at the steering wheel do you notice it) (Pictured) All original floor mats, will come with 1 or 2 extra mat hook for driver side (prevents it from slipping), driver side has a strange bend to it (somewhat pictured) 8 speaker system! I enjoy music, so this was great to find out after I had purchased this vehicle. Stock system sounds great! Stock CD/Cassette player does not eject CDs but it does play them. I will include an aftermarket kit (wiring, mounting, adapters etc) if you want to install an aftermarket CD player Headliner is stained, possibly a previous owner was a smoker (??), I haven't smelt any type of smoke and I HATE smoking, but that could explain the staining. Sunroof works great (now that I think about it, if a previous owner left the sunroof open and rain snuck inside it could cause the same staining) Ashtray is missing, yeah strange. Shift boot has some tears (both are pictured). Heater seat switch was installed on the center console (pictured). Trunk (hatch) carpeting is pretty dirty, so is some of the plastic. Either a shampooing or some other deeper method of cleaning it will clean it up. Rear seats fold down for easy access to the trunk area. Overall interior is in good/great condition, it's when you start nit-picking you start noticing odds and ends (that I've listed) Exterior: Black with gold package and ground effects. Gold package consists of gold emblems on the exterior. Ground effects are the side skirts and front lip. Recently clay barred, cut twice, finished with a waxing. Nice shine! (took about 8 hours!!) (you can see my reflection as proof :-D ) Car is 12 years old, so expect dings throughout. I've pictured the major flaws I've noticed but there is always the chance I overlooked something Both rear quarter panels have rust forming where it meets the bumper (pictured), driver side is about 2.5", passenger side is about 1.5". Passenger door has 1 circle ding that is about the size of a nickel, 1 scratch that is about 2" (both are pictured) Rear bumper has scratches (loading/unloading) (pictured) Hood/Front bumper have rock chips Front bumper has bad clear coat peel. I had read how to fix it (sand, polish) but I don't have the time/proper equipment. (pictured) Front right fog light recently went out Front right side marker needs the bulb changed Front headlights were recently reconditioned, this is a MUST for this type of vehicle. I could hardly see when driving so I decided to give it a drive. Night and day difference! High/Low beams all work, all turn signals work except the one mentioned There is some wax splatter that may be found randomly but I tried to clean it up all that I found (the most noticeable is on the sunroof, I will try to clean this off and update the listing) Random thoughts.. I just saw on the Autocheck that this had been in an accident. I am not aware of an accident, I can tell you all of the body lines match great, I have looked around and I can't notice anything. I'm going to have to say it was a small fender bender since there is no type of structural damage noticed. I have no removed any body panels to look underneath but from looking in the trunk, under the car, around the engine compartment I can not find any type of damage! Overall I have been very pleased with this car. I have been averaging ~29mpg but that is actually one of the reasons I need to sell this car. I drive A LOT for work. Up to 80 miles round trip certain days. I have an older vehicle that can obtain 45mpg that I'll be replacing this with. I am really nit-picky with cars. I try to be as open and honest as possible because it is what I would expect as a buyer to see on a sellers list. If you look at my feedback you'll see I'm a great, honest seller! I've had issues this past week, it seemed whenever I had time to take photos I ran into rain!! So the pictures are definitely not the best. Unfortunately I am looking at a 60 hours work week this coming week so I'm not sure if I will be able to update the photos. I will definitely try to get some outside shots. Another thing I found when taking pictures of this car, it's difficult to get get the angles down with the recent wax job :-D. Before the wax job it had noticeable swirls/holograms now it looks great. The biggest issues are the clear coating on the bumper, and the summer tires (if you want to use the rims). If I were keeping this car I wouldn't hesitate to drive it around anywhere. It's been extremely reliable. I apologize again for the bad pictures and any type of dirt/garbage shown in any pictures. In one picture you'll see stuff on the seat, those are microfiber towels to get the rain drops off the car! I can TRY to meet with a potential buyer before the end of the sale, but I can not guarantee anything. My next day "off" is Friday May 18th but that can change fairly quickly. I can line up a showing with a family member if need be. I would REALLY prefer to sell this outside of eBay since this is my first time selling a car on here, but figure I'll give it a shot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I do not believe I'll be able to ship this vehicle, so please do not ask. I will, however, be willing to pick the purchaser up from the airport or bus terminal. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction (within 24 hours). I AM willing to accept full payment through PayPal but full payment needs to be made within 7 days of the ending of the auction (this is if you wanted to pay using credit card, however buyer will need to cover any extra fees associated with this full payment option). Also, if you choose to do 100% through PayPal, I will only sign the title over the PayPal account holder, so don't ask your parent's/sibling/spouse to pay for you unless you want it paid in their name. Otherwise cash/cashier's check are preferred methods. Lastly, please ensure this is what you are looking for. This is a big purchase on your end and a big sale on mine. I am very responsive through messaging, so feel free to send me a message anytime. I generally respond within 24 hours. If you see I've listed something incorrect, or if you notice something I forgot to mention, let me know and I'll look into it! Thanks for the interest, good luck bidding! -Shane
