Vehicle Detail

1969 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK MACH 1 4 SPEED Up for auction is a very drivable 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback. It currently is painted up as a Mach 1 with the blackout hood and the side stripes. The only thing needed to finish the cloning would be the wood grain dash. This car would need minor metal work, paint and some interior finishing to actually look like a strong #2 or #3 driver. First I will explain the good points. The 302 2V engine was completely rebuilt and has less than 200 miles on it. It is currently plated and insured and is being driven and enjoyed by me. This car could be driven home after being purchased. There is an Edlebrock aluminum intake topped with a New Holley 600 CFM 4 barrel carb. It has a dual exhaust with headers and has that distinct throaty sound we all love and desire. Not so loud it drones you out of the car but still announces a muscle car is approaching. I have installed a 4-speed trans with a Hurst Competition Plus shifter to complete the package. This car was originally a 3-speed car and I do have that trans if desired. There is a full set of aftermarket rims with a set of new Kuhmo 225/60/15 tires. This car has the always desired fold down rear seat. This is a very solid car well worth what I am asking. This car has very solid Cowls that most cannot boast. All the frame rails both front and rear are also very solid with no need of any repairs. This is the key to finding a good candidate for a quality restoration. New items installed: New Radiator Water pump Holley 600 CFM Carb/polished chrome like finish Coil Starter Gas Tank Complete Clutch kit Front Calipers for disc brakes Rear drum brakes All new brake lines and hoses New Brake Master Cylinder New shocks front and rear New Windshield New Black Carpet kit installed Now for what it still needs: To do the job right you should install 2 full length floors. It could get away with patch panels but would be much better with the full floors. The left rear quarter could use a patch panel or you could do the quarter skin, your choice. You will need a lower door skin patch panel as seen in the photos. It will definitely need some interior work done. The seats are all passable and useable but could use redoing to complete a restoration. All the interior parts for factory air conditioning are in the dash but it is not hooked up. None of the factory air components are installed on the engine. This would be a simple job if you wanted to have the factory set up fully functional again. I do have all the AC parts for the engine if the buyer wants but will be at an extra cost. All in all this is a very reasonable project for most anyone to do. The sheet metal work is the hardest part and most body shops are perfectly capable of handling these areas at a reasonable cost. I am selling this car because I simply have too many and my sheet metal guy is currently moving his shop so I can’t get the needed work done for at least a couple of months. I have other projects I need to complete which I will be posting on Ebay in the near future. If this is not the year Mustang you are looking for then save me as a favorite vendor to see the other cars as they get completed. The 1969 Mustang Fastback is the first year of this new body style and is a very sought after style. That paired with the fact that it is now a 4 speed completes the package. They are getting harder and harder to come by especially with solid cowls and frame rails. I feel that my reserve is very reasonable for what I am offering and the Buy it Now is still a great deal. I will be happy to discuss this car with anyone who wants more information. You can either email or call 201-961-3433. I have a 100% positive feedback and plan on keeping it that way. I pride myself in being honest with all of my listings. Please bid with confidence and thanks for looking! Here are a few youtube videos: http://youtu.be/xznfD7XZ8pQ http://youtu.be/MReXmOUEDJk11 Please take note of the clear New Jersey title in my name. I expect that the car will pass state inspection. It is currently registered and insured and currently being driven AND I fully expect this car would or could be a fly in and drive home sort of deal for most anyone. Again, I welcome your questions, phone calls etc. I am proud to speak of this car. I have 100% feedback rating and am very honest in my photos of the car. Please be sure to check out the hyperlink to the utube videos. You will see how great this car runs, drives, sounds, performs, (you get my point). Thanks The full VIN is 9F02F149698. I have attached a photo of the clear New Jersey title and the car has the correct stampings on the door, A pillar and fender aprons ALL match 100% to the title.
