Vehicle Detail
I am selling my very unique 71 Road Runner. I had planned on keeping this forever, but life gets in the way some times. The original owner bought this car in Arizona and has stayed here it's entire life. I am the second owner and have owned it for ~8 or 9 years. When I bought it, she was in good condition, needed upholstery, paint and a front end rebuild. I took care of those things and wanted a resto-mod so got better brakes, steering etc. Then my friends were drag racing so i built a monster of an engine and drivetain to match so I could run high 11's. This is such a unique combination, I didn't want to change the appearance. It has a full vinyl top, yellow exterior and white interior. Well now I must let her go. Here is a partial list of equipment/mods. The mileage shows ~45000, I could not remember what Ed (the original owner) said about being correct. The fender tag reads: M21 N41 R11 V21 26 C16 C55 C62 G33 H51 L31 V1W U A01 A04 A87 B51 GY3 M6XW TX9 917 E65 D32 RM23 N1E 1971 Plymouth Road Runner Suspension Mopar Performance Heavy Duty torsion bars KYB front shocks Urethane bushings New ball joints New tie rod ends and idler arm Mopar Performance heavy duty rear springs Urethane leaf spring bushings Brakes Wilwood front disc brake conversion Rebuilt rear brakes Wilwood master cylinder Wilwood adjustable bias valve Wilwood pressure valve New power brake booster Flushed brake lines Stainless Steel braided brake hoses Line lock plumbed in Steering converted to manual Sale includes orig pwr steering gear and pump Front bucket seats and rear seats re-upholstered w/Legendary covers New carpet New woodgrain overlay on console New trunk divider panel New package tray Headliner still in good shape Dash does have cracks, have an overlay included in sale Power window kit for frt doors Recent repaint in original color Original vinyl top replaced when painted New stickers and emblems Go Wing Spoiler Frt eyebrows (not shown in pics) Fiberglass 6 pack style lift off hood Original hood included with sale (this engine does not fit under stk hood) 440 engine Forged crank (balanced and polished) SCAT H beam rods Keith Black pistons 10.8:1 compression Oil gallery mods, melling pump Mopar Performance deep pan w/pickup Windage tray Mopar Performance Stage VI aluminum heads w/raised ports Mopar Performance stainless steel valves Mopar Perf dual springs, retainers and locks 440 source stainless steel roller rockers Hughes Racing Engines Hydraulic cam kit Double Roller timing set Mopar Perf M1 raised port single plane intake manifold Mighty Demon 850 cfm double pump carb Aluminum water pump housing and pump Bouchelin A/C compressor brackets Sanden A/C compressor Aluminum Radiator Mopar Perf viscous fan package SFI damper This engine is designed for 560 hp, 575+ ft lbs. The leading bidder asked me to check if the included 383 is numbers matching. I cleaned the area on the block and I can make out 5 of the 8 numbers and those DO match!!! According to my B Body restoration guide there were some High Performance big blocks painted blue if they were equipped with factory A/C. This was supposed to have ended by 71, the book says it would be rare in a 71 model. This engine is painted blue with what appears to be matching numbers!!! This car gets better and better. Do not delay bid now to win!
