1984 Vanagon Westfalia 4-speed manual transmission camper van for sale. We purchased the van over ten years ago from a Volkswagen mechanic. We have greatly enjoyed adventuring in our mini-mobile home. The Vanagon has been kept in a garage for the last six years. It was originally a Canadian vehicle so the the odometer is in kilometers. It has a propane heater, two tables, two beds and lots of storage. This vehicle has been reliable for us. We have take good care of it and still starts right up each time we drive it. We are selling it because we recently upgraded to a pristine 1990 version of the same vehicle. - Engine runs - recently passed Oregon DMV Emissions inspection. Oregon tags are good through February 2014. - Steering and suspension are tight. - We have all mechanical records for past ten years. - 2 burner propane stove works great. Pop-top canvas is in working condition – a hole was repaired in rear (see photos) and the mosquito netting on the front window is torn. Upholstery is in good condition. Two beds have some stains but no tears. Front Seats have small tears which are covered by seat covers in photos. - Refrigerator was removed and GoWesty fridge-be-gone kit installed for extra storage. - Body has some rust and dents. All doors, locks and skylight function correctly. An extra set of wheels and tires are included in the sale. This is the original engine so the vehicle requires vigilant attention to the oil and coolant. Last fall our mechanic conducted a detailed inspection which found a coolant leak around two of the cylinder heads. This vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranty expressed in writing or implied.
