DESCRIPTION: The 1999 Mustang SVT Cobra was the first Mustang to ever come from the factory with Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). The combination of IRS and the 32 valve, 4.6 liter, aluminum block, dual-overhead cam engine makes it a very unique Mustang worthy of the SVT Cobra name. This is a very low mileage, two-owner Cobra. Many top quality upgrades have been added to fine tune the performance and handling. This car is in truely exceptional condition. The exterior paint is the original factory Rio Red. It's still like new since the car has always been kept clean, garaged, and covered. The medium parchment interior has some striking red appearance improvements and a carbon fiber gauge surround. New leather upholstery and carpet were recently installed. The drive train has always been maintained to new standards. Mobile 1 has been consistently used from day one. A set of low mileage Hankook Ventus R-s2 tires are mounted on the original Cobra factory wheels. UPGRADES Handling modifications were professionally installed by Kenny Brown and include: welded sub-frame connectors, specific rate lowering springs, urethane bushings, upper strut tower brace, and caster-camber plates. Performance upgrades include: a cold air intake with the Western Motorsports full-length ceramic coated velocity tube, Pro-flow bullet chrome MAF, and K&N filter in the right fender well. Ford Racing ceramic coated shorty headers, Bassani stainless steel exhaust system with X-pipe, high-flow CATs, and Quiet Thunder CAT-back with removable baffles. Steeda accessory underdrive pulley set and mil-eliminators. B&M Ripper shifter. D'Agostino Racing Cooling Improvement Kit. Other upgrades include: Steeda GT2 stainless front brake lines, PIAA driving lights, PIAA headlight bulbs, Colgan Bra, custom car cover, Ford shop manual CD, and window glass VIN etching. The SVT Certificate and original window sticker will be included. They show that this is car number 3,779 of 4,055 built. It was assembled at the Dearborn Assembly Plant on 06/28/1999. The window sticker price was $32,190.00. PAYMENT The winning bidder may make a $1,000 initial deposit with paypal. The preferred final payment method is by wire transfer. Cashier's check will be accepted if the issuing institution is willing to verify the status of the check by phone on the day of pickup. SHIPPING The buyer is responsible for all transportation arrangements. PRICING The Kelly Blue Book "Private Party" value is $1,779 more than the NADA "Clean Retail" value for this car. I believe a car in this extraordinary condition, with this many quality upgrades is worth the "Private Party" value. However, to keep the auction lively and provide a good value, I'm putting my reserve price halfway between NADA "Clean Trade" and NADA "Clean Retail" which will be well below the Kelly Blue Book "Private Party" value. Prices are based on the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) used car price guides for zip code 78239. My opening bid of $10,387 is the NADA trade-in value. To answer requests for early termination of the auction, I'm adding a Buy-It-Now price of $12,962 which is the NADA retail value. My reserve of $11,712 is between the NADA trade-in value and the NADA retail value. I view this as a sacrifice of the car since NADA is established by actual recent sales and does not account for the exceptional condition of the car or the additional upgrades.
