Post bid inspections ARE NOT! · Please respect eBay’s rules for the auction’s stability! ***NEEDS WORK*** Amazingly, after sitting for a long time, this Triumph starts-up on its own, runs and stops but should NOT be taken on any long trips as it needs lots of work. It is therefore being sold for parts or restoration. Here is a SHORT list of our findings and disclaimers based on a LIMITED inspection and test drive: · Motor is not original (pre-1968 1200cc) with audible noise at higher RPM & lacks power (Does not smoke) · Transmission grinds in some gears when shifting (clutch seems okay) · Front & rear suspension is worn · Rear leaf spring is worn or broken · Wiring needs work (some lights & blinkers do function) · Some dents, dings, scratches & body filler (Bondo) throughout but the frame appears free from any major rust or collision damage · Lots of trim, switches, mouldings & parts are damaged, worn, cracked, missing or not original · Brakes are spongy & fluid seapage at the master cylinder (slave cylinders appear dry) · Speedometer is not operating (possibly the cable?) True Miles Unknown · Fuel and Temp Gauges are not working (possibly not hooked up?) · License Tags expired in April, 2006 (no penalites due) · Re-Assigned Vin Plate (No Public Vin) If you're not a mechanic or absolutely certain about what you are seeing (and reading) here, it is highly recommended that you inspect this car yourself or arrange a third party inspection.
