Up for bid is my Buick Special I've been working on for some time now. My loss is your gain.The car has a lot of NEW parts and tons of stuff done to it. NO RESERVE PRICE...NO RESERVE PRICE...NO RESERVE PRICE...NO RESERVE PRICE .....a Steal for over $18k invested in this project, THIS IS AN UNFINISHED CAR THAT NEEDS VERY LITTLE TO BE A DRIVER Here's what I did so far: Completely rebuilt 1953 263ci straight 8 engine (VINTAGE MOTOR) with NEW PISTONS, Cam, crank has been grinded & welded New rings, bearings, sleeves, valves, springs -- ALL NEW FRESH REBUILD Engine block has been painted 1953 Factory Blue 1942 compound manifold which has been milled with a dual carb set-up with 2 FORD FLATHEAD carbs New Hydraulic lifters & push rods New Vintage style Air cleaner CHROME VALVE COVER New 1 wire GM alternator New Flywheel New High Torque starter New Steel Fuel line New Disc brake conversion kit from JAMCO SUSPENSION installed up front New GM dual master cylinder w/ proportioning valve New steel brake lines Front end has been de-greased and painted with POR15 Engine bay has been de-greased and painted BLACK Inside of the hood is cleaned and painted New Bendtsen's Adapter to connect the vintage motor to modern transmission DynaFlow tranny swapped out for modern 200-4r (4 sp auto w/OD) Tranny cooler installed w/ steel lines New Tranny crossmember NEW 23" LOKAR shifter Kit installed on the floor Dual Exhaust mufflers installed, coming out the sides NEW DOLPHIN GAUGES (speedo & quad) New Driveshaft from K & M in Brooklyn, NYC Rear chassis is Sub-Framed with 1996 Cadillac Brougham w/tube shocks, sway bar, 4-link and big drum brakes Caddy rear is 8.5" 10 bolt with a BRAND NEW Posi unit with 3.73 gears 3.75" Wide Whitewall rollin' on the original 15" steelies Completely converted to 12V wiring OPTIMA battery installed New door panels installed Entire car was scraped of old tar inside and under the car then painted with POR15 Rusted floor pans were cut out and replaced with new steel patches and rust in the trunk was cut out and replaced with new steel then painted with POR15 New driver side window Heat/Sound insulation installed It needs a new interior. The front bench seat and the bottom of the back bench seat need reupholstering. I don't have the back to the rear bench seat just the bottom part. THIS CAR IS "SOLD AS IS" ALL SALES FINAL WINNING BIDDER MUST PICK UP THE CAR WITH A "CAR TRAILER or A FLAT BED TOW TRUCK" THE CAR DOES NOT RUN On Apr-30-12 at 13:21:55 PDT, seller added the following information: IN ORDER TO GET THIS CAR RUNNING YOU WOULD NEED: 1) A NEW ELECTRONIC IGNITION 2) ADJUST THE CARBS OR GET TWO NEW ONES 3) WIRE UP THE GAUGES (TEMP & FUEL ARE NOT HOOKED UP) THIS WOULD GET THE CAR RUNNING BUT YOU WOULD NEED TO LOOK AT MY WORK FROM TOP TO BOTTOM TO DETERMINE IF ANY ADDITIONAL WORK IS NEEDED TO KEEP HER RUNNING
