1966 Ford Mustang 4-Speed!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1966 Ford Mustang with that great Shelby look and a hi performance V8. This gorgeous Mustang features a 4-Speed transmission with Hurst Shifter, dual circuit DISC brakes, 17 inch torq thrust wheels shod with brand new tires, 4 barrel Edelbrock carb atop a fully built V8, beautiful interior, new top, and that great Shelby look!!!. This Mustang is rust free and I have TONS and TONS of records for the car!!! The records date back about 30 years ago, documenting the car in Arizonas dry desert climate. The car is painted in a gorgeous Viper GTS Blue metallic over a new black interior. The 289ci V-8 has been treated to a host of hi-performance upgrades featuring forged pistons, comp cam, tri-y headers all giving this car LOTS of power while retaining the factory look. This is one of the fastest 289 mustangs I have ever driven. The car runs and drives beautifully and turns heads EVERYWHERE you go!!! This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This Mustang looks great finished in Viper GTS Blue complete with Shelby hood scoop and side scoops. The car is further accentuated by a BRAND NEW set of 17 inch Torq Thrust wheels and new tires. The car has laser straight panels and body work and has good gaps all the way around the car. The car was painted a few years ago and still looks great! It could make for a great daily driver or local weekend car show attendee. There are a few minor imperfections but overall it looks great as you can see from the photos. The windshield was removed and a new windshield was put in. The chrome is also in very nice shape on the car and all of the emblems are in new condition as well. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great long weekend drives in. Overall the exterior is in great shape. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic black interior of this mustang is new and in excellent condition. The front and rear seats are new and in excellent shape. The carpet is new as well and free of stains etc... The convertible top is new and door panels are also new and finish the car beautifully. The dash pad was also replaced and is in perfect condition. This mustang also features A/C!!! The center piece of the car is the iconic Hurst Shifted 4-speed and it looks great sitting between the two bucket seats. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful and is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: The 289ci V8 fires right up and runs like a top. The car blows no smoke on start up or while driving. The engine was rebuilt in 2006 and features a host of Edelbrock performance upgrades. The car was treated to an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, performance intake manifold as well as a comp camshaft and .60 over forged pistons!!! The engine has been treated to a set of the classic Cobra valve covers and "Hi-Po" air cleaner that finishes the engine bay nicely. This engine produces more power than any other 289 I have driven all while retaining a very factory appearance. The car has a very healthy sounding idle and the car has a true dual exhaust system with tri-y headers and the car has that perfect muscle car sound. Not many Mustangs sound like this car! The 4-Speed transmission shifts great and does not grind while going up or down through the gears. The car stops GREAT with dual circuit disc brakes. The car stops with ease and nice and straight. The car cruises on the freeway at 80mph without breaking a sweat. The steering is nice and tight with little to no play in the steering wheel. The heater is currently not working. All of the lights, gauges, and signals are all working as they should. I have receipts on the car dating back 30 years!!! With all of the subtle upgrades and disc brakes this car really is a blast to drive!!! All of the upgrades compliment each other and none of it takes away from the classic appeal of the car. I havent had so much fun and pleasure driving a classic car in a long time. This really is a great car to spend time in!
