Up for sale is my 1967 Mercury Cougar I originally bought this car in Philly about 4 years ago it was a total mess rust everywhere and basically wasn t worth the money I pais for it. Anyway I took on the challenge and over the last 4 years I have been restoring it to its former greatness, Almost everything has been replaced or rebuilt and the project is 98% finished, a few things need to be finished to make it a perfect car! the list of parts that have been replaced are as follows. New hood, new trunk, new rear bumper, new floor boards and seat risers, new fenders both left and right, new doors and new quarter panels, new door handles, new headliner, new seats both rear and front, new carpet, new sun visors, 4 brand new american racing rims and tires completly rebuilt high performance 289 and C4 transmission and the entire font and rear suspension was replaced Springs, control arms , leaf springs the whole caudle,there is only one place on this car that there is some minor rust and that is under the passenger frame rail, I ran out of money and couldn t get it replaced. other than that there is ZERO rust and VERY LITTLE bond work as I got all my replacement parts for california and they were all in perfect condition with zero to no rust. The paint job is perfect! no fish eyes or runs, it looks absolutly fantastic! there is a small seem coming from the rear main seal it is very minor I just dont have the time or energy to continue with the car that why I havnt changed it.
