Vehicle Detail
1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Mach 1 This car has a lot of potential, and can be driven as-is, or restored easily. The car is currently driven daily without any worries, and could be driven home. The engine has been completely rebuilt and has maybe 200 miles on it. It has a new radiator, water pump, holley 4bbl 600 cfm carb, coil, and starter, gas tank, ect. Furthermore, the clutch, pressure plate, and throw our bearing are new. the trans was recently converted to a 4 speed with a hurst competition plus shifter. ( The original 3 speed can be included if desired) The brakes are also new with a master cylinder, disc front brakes, and numerous lines, hoses and shocks. The exhaust is a dual setup, with headers, and it sounds great. It also has aftermarket rims with new Kuhmo 225/60/15 tires at all 4 corners. Although it is not hooked up, it has all of the underdash components for factory a/c, and can easily be converted back. Highly desirable fold-down rear seat. Super solid cowls, and frame rails both front and rear. To restore this car would require 2 full length floors, lower door skin repair, and a left rear 1/4 panel/patch panel. The car spent its life in the dry southern climate of Mississippi, and has a valid inspection sticker until 2011. Car is now titled/registered/insured in New Jersey. Before making this listing I searched 69/70 mustang fastbacks and mach 1's and found approximately 40 listings, only two of them were functioning manual mustang fastbacks. I believe this engine and transmission combination, along with desirable fastback body style will make it obvious that this is a unique opportunity, as well its priced reasonably. I welcome calls at 201-961-3433 -Tony Here are a few youtube videos: http://youtu.be/xznfD7XZ8pQ http://youtu.be/MReXmOUEDJk11 Here is the Full VIN. 9F02F149698. Please take note of the clear New Jersey title in my name. I recently had a new windshield installed so I expect this car will pass state inspection. I will update if I do decide to take thru inspection as (again) it is registered, insured and driven currently. As I know many people are looking for a car like this, I mention that this is a relist. I have relisted with a lower reserve and a lower buy it now. There were over 6500 people viewing this auction last time (just last Saturday it ended) and there were over 160 watchers but it did not meet reserve. It did get close, the car must be sold. Again, I welcome your questions, phone calls etc. I am proud to speak of this car. I have 100% feedback rating and am very honest in my photos of the car. Please be sure to check out the hyperlink to the utube videos. You will see how great this car runs, drives, sounds, performs, (you get my point). ThanksOn Apr-18-12 at 10:52:59 PDT, seller added the following information: OK For the nay sayers this car is a 63C body. The door tag is in place on the door. All my research shows thats what it takes to be a mach. Some people are saying only engines of the 351H code or more are machs. But I have also read otherwise. Point is I have no intention of misleading anyone. I have 100 percent feedback and wont jeapordize that. I have also heard the .. it must have a 2 digit paint code for the hood black out. It does not and I imagine it was not blacked out factory. I have asked a few experts and the concenses was that this is a VERY early production 1969 and therefore why it has certainly neat options like AC and Fold Down but not the hood black out nor a 351 or larger or other options like consoles and other neat stuff. Either way neat, very solid considering its age, and got alot going for it. Again unless I am missing them there are not alot of 1969s V8 stick running driving solid cars out there.
