Vehicle Detail
I believe I am the second owner on this vehicle, it has been stored in my garage most of its life, and used for a hunting vehicle towed behind our truck and camper, and used as a field vehicle when I worked as an archaeologist for the USDA Forest Service in Oregon. I have since moved to Wyoming and gave it to my son, who is in the US Army, and he has been stationed abroad and no longer wants it and asked me to sell it. It has spent the last 10 years in storage. It has a Cal-Mini crate motor, with very low mileage on it, header, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, and everything from the pressure plate forward is new when that engine was swapped out. It has dual Webber 40 carbs on a high rise manifold. The motor runs very strong for a 4-cylinder. My son wants to sell it and buy something new upon his re-deployment back after his final tour. I think there must be about 5000 to 6000 miles on this motor. Call for more info I will answer what I can. 307-223-7075 Shipping is the responsibly of the buyer. It likely needs some work because it has been sitting, I just replaced the front tires, but the rear I believe are still the factory original. It has a stereo, which is one of those "Boomers" with 15 inch woofers and a Power amp. I have it out and use it in my garage for tunes, so if it goes for enough, I will throw it in. It is all Barn fresh, you won't find an original one like this again, it show a little neglect but no rust, and never been wrecked. Has a couple little dings that are very small. The guy I bought it from bought it for his daughter and she ran off, and he kept it, but she came home pregnant, and he sold it when she returned out of anger. One door panel the glue came loose, but can easily be stretched re-glued. Engine runs good. I just put a new battery in it too. Vehicle is also listed locally but if bids are made the auction will run its course until completed, and the highest bid wins. Local buyer will have the option to bid as well. If you look at the back there is a light bar across the back that is wired into a wiring system that can be plugged into a real 12-volt brake and tail light system that will go with it too. If you know the Suzuki lights they won't just wire into a regular tow light , so we designed a system independent of the stock that could be used and it plugs into any 4-wire application. The carpet was replaced, it looks and feels new, and on a warm day still smells new.On Apr-18-12 at 09:18:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional info: To answer a repeat question, yes that is the original mileage, it had 21000 when I bought it, original motor, verified by the title in Oregon one had to declare the mileage when doing a title transfer, it was one of the few states that required it back then. As for the engine, I think it is the 1.3 Liter, it is whatever came stock in the Samurai that year. I sent the whole engine in to them and they did the kit at CalMini, they used the Block and Head casting, replaced everything else from throw-out bearing forward. It still has the stock distributor. The 4X4 running gear has never been abused or misused, and is all stock, and it was towed as per factory specifications. I am disabled, but I could see if a nephew or someone could crawl under it and take photos, but nothing leaks and never has. I also have a set of velocity stacks for the carbs, and an extra heater core, a front tube bumper, maybe some other odds and ends that I will throw in with the final sale. Hope that helps . . . To answer the questions about the Brown 1976 Ford F-150: I am the original owner, it has about 160,000 original miles on it. Balanced and blue-printed 390, Edelbrock Performer Intake, and matching carb, small RV cam, bigger capacity oil pan high volume pump. It has been seriously restored, front and rear end differentials have been rebuilt, tranny rebuilt; however, my son took out the 2nd gear syncro when I was teaching him to drive 20 years ago. Transfer case is new, knuckle joints new, no I take that back I put a Detroit Locker rear end in it, pulled the old rear and have it sitting somewhere. Engine work was done by Willamette Industries in Portland Oregon, they are one of the best. I just took it out of storage, it still needs to be cleaned and the Tonneu Cover put on, and the roll-bar bolted in. It had a camper on it, so it has Helwig overload springs on it, so just getting it back to being a toy and not a work truck. Make me a "realistic offer" for what it is truly worth, and we can talk. That is why they have been in a barn all these years, to stop the stupidity: I got tired of telling people where they could go with that 2000 dollars. Easier to lock them away and store them, they are paid for and now sell them on Ebay, I would rather let an auction do the work. Best wishes and God bless . . .On Apr-25-12 at 06:54:01 PDT, seller added the following information: No Air Conditioning, it has been a long time since I drove it, and don't remember what it gets per gallon, but I think it was in the mid 20's MPG. Never ran it hard enough to get to top speed . . .
