Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. Collector's Edition, just like every other '96 Roadmaster. Long Island car with NO body rust and only minor surface rust on the underside as seen in pics (including solid spare tire well.) Loaded up with leather and power everything. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 and G80 build codes) maximize traction to the pavement. Trailer preparation "tow package" equipped - car rated to pull 5000 but does not have a hitch installed (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches.) Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Regularly maintained. Recently driven to Myrtle Beach and back, and my daily driver for the past 600 miles with no issues - runs and drives GREAT, smooth and solid and quiet as you can only find in these with lower miles - get in and drive anywhere in confidence. Salvage title due to how I bought it with a dented left front fender as seen in last photo. Clearly, damage is slight, but due to new replacement parts discontinued years ago and unavailable, these cars are frequently totaled for minor cosmetic damage. I replaced the fender with a decent one from a white 96 from Arizona and straightened the bumper trim. Have proof of ownership of replacement parts for your state's likely required anti-theft exam. Two owner car - also have history report I can send showing proof of mileage and lack of accident history until this one in January. Sure, it's a branded title. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. New battery & good charging system. Starts easy, runs STRONG. TRANSMISSION: Performs flawlessly. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts perfectly - low mile tight. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is very straight and solid. No body rust, no bondo, no dents bigger than a few small dings consistent with age. As noted, left front fender was replaced, and it has a couple small dings seen in pics. Paint: Paint is very nice with a handful of minor paint chips consistent with age. Still exceptionally presentable as seen in pics. Wood: Side paneling is in very nice shape, applique is still shiny, upper fake wood molding sanded down and painted tan so you never have to worry about that peeling again. Other: Lower stainless bright trim has only a couple very minor dings. Front bumper stainless trim has a couple small dings, and there's a small crack in the grille. No cracks or tears in the plastic bumpers. Rubber side trim is present. Glass is all nice with no rock chips. Solid undercarriage and frame with some minor surface rust as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in good shape with a couple small blemishes. All center caps present and in nice shape except the right front, which has a small crack in the plastic cover. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in extremely nice shape consistent with the low mileage. Carpets are nice and clean, dash has no cracks, door panels are in good shape with an extra retaining screw on the driver's door. Headliner is in nice shape with no tears or sags other than above. Leather seats are beautiful - minor wear on driver's seat, others really like new. Steering wheel is nice and headliner is beautiful. Non-smoker's car - no smoke odors. Very nice interior overall, way better than most this age. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna does not work, and the rear wiper works intermittently. All other power stuff works properly - power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, rear window release, keyless entry, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster all work properly. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out just beautifully - tight and quiet and strong. Steering is tight, suspension tight, and alignment is good. Brakes work great with newer front pads. Tires are a matched set by brand/model, but fronts have about 80% tread remaining and rears have about 30% because they were bought at different times (date stamps on tires 3 years apart.) Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Limited slip works properly and rear end is quiet. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) GREAT driving car as you'd expect of the miles - hop in and drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small deposit as listed (but fast) by overnight mail or Paypal within 24 hours.
