Up for auction is this beautiful late 1931 Ford Model A Pickup with Dual Side Mounts. I will give you as accurate a discription from the information I recieved and also how I see the vehicle. From what I understand this truck was in the prior owners family for many years. It originally was from Massachusetts where it had a complete frame off restoration (every nut and bolt and finished in 1994). When that family member passed away it was left to the prior owner who has had it since. He passed away last year. I was told there was no exspense spared and close to $30,000 was spent back then. He could have bought one for considerably less but chose to make this one his own. The truck was decent to begin with but underwent the restoration. Truck is all henry ford steel. Complete balanced motor and trans rebuild (reciepts for $5,000), steering, suspension, conversion to juice brakes, shocks and all other mechanicals (reciepts for over $2,000). All four N.O.S fenders were purchased, interior done like a deluxe car including seat and door panels. Dash and door garnish moldings were wood grained. Six new Firestone tires and the list goes on and on and on. Truck has accessory radiator stone guard, quail radiator cap, cowl lights and dual tail lights. Aprox 4,000 miles was put on the truck from 1994 till 2006. It was then stored away until now. If you are a handyman this would not take much to be ready to enjoy for the upcoming season. What I mean by that is just going over things from sitting and mostly detail work such as some minor paint touch ups, minor chips, the wood in the bed and the top wood bed rails need to be revarnished, right front brake shoe holding a little more than normal Minor exhaust donut leak and possible battery replacement (charging it up now). These are all minor issues but Im fussier than most. You will get all of the reciepts that I have for the work done. I have a Maine registration transfered to my dealership and with that and all of our Maine dealer paperwork and transfer forms you can get a title in your state should you need one. I will entertain a serious buy it now if you dont want to wait for the auction to end. The price will be more then fair for a truck of this caliber . Not hard to deal with just want to sell cars.
