This 1966 Shelby Cobra cannot be represented well enough with pictures. Everywhere I go a small crowd forms around the car. The paint is a show grade metallic silver with clearcoat and black Lemans Stripes. The paint is in new condition with the exception a a very few 3mm or so chips in the clear coat. The side pipes and headers are silver ceramic coated. Includes dual chrome roll bars. The engine was custom built by Jon Barrett Hot Rod Engines and is a Ford 302 with 300 HP. The engine has a Roush block, polished aluminum Edelbrock intake and carb. with a chrome alt. The transmission is AOD and was also built by Barrett with a B&M shifter and cooler. The rear is an 8.8 with all new 3:73 gears. It has tubular A-arms and unlike many kit cars, was built with all new parts, not pirated from other cars. It has an oversized aluminum radiator and runs cool. It has power assisted brakes and will stop on a dime. Steering is rack and pinion. Wheels are polished aluminum Torque Thrust 2's w/ faux spinners. Tires are 205/60/15 up front and 275/60/15 in the rear. Interior is beautiful. This car sounds amazing. Every head turns *everywhere*. Listen to the YouTube clip and you'll get a feel for it, although the camera doesn't record sound well. It has an awesome sound system which is completely hidden so that the Shelby Cobra doesn't lose that authentic feel. There are four speakers in the compartment behind the seats, hidden by black cloth, A subwoofer in the trunk, and all powered by the SoundStream amp in the trunk, which is all finished with black carpet. There are no radios or CD players, simply plug in your ipod and power up! Believe me, this audio system wil go as loud as you want it to :o) The dash is painted metallic silver with white guages. There is a small hairline scratch in the center bottom of the dash. It can be seen in one of the pictures. This Shelby is titled in Pennsylvania and went through the "special" inspection process required by PA. I am the second owner. The original owner had the car built by a shop in Florida and had $74,000 invested. This Cobra was built from a "Street Beast" body kit. I am 5' 10" and am comfortable driving the car, but I wouldn't want to be much taller as this car is not designed for "big" people. So take that into account if you are interested in this type of race platform. I will give the car cover along with the car. Any shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will gladly assist.
