You are bidding on a 1931 Franklin Model 153 DeLuxe. The Serial Number is 53-206724L5, I believe this is the Limousine version as it has the two pop up seats in the rear. In addition, it has the divider glass included. I did not inventory the divider glass or attempt to put it in the car, but it does appear to be complete. The car is very solid and has always been stored inside. The engine does NOT turn over -- even when cranked by hand. The car is equipped with a Bob Green Overdrive unit. The car is in great physical shape and has made several trip to the Franklin Trek prior to being parked in the 1990s. I believe the car was partially restored in the 1970's or at least painted. The seats appear to be originally, but the leather front is cracked. The rear appear to be in good shape. I am selling this Franklin for my father so I will try and answer any questions via Emil as quickly as possible. This is a great piece of American history, and for those who know Franklin's, know that they were very advanced, and very high end vehicles. We hate to see this go, but it is time for it to have a new home. I tried to take as detailed of pictures as possible and feel they represent the car well. As with anything this old, it has wear and tear and minor scratches. Most of the rust appears to be on the surface and there are no major dents. The car appears to be very complete, however the clock is missing and the passenger side window in the front is cracked. The title is clear and free. The vehicle is located in Northwest Ohio. The buyer assumes all responsibility for pick up as I have no way to move it. There is no specified or implied warranty and the listed item is being sold as is. If special arrangements need to be made regarding the pickup of the item please let seller know via Emil prior to purchase. A deposit is required with in 48 hours of the end of the auction. Seller reserve the right to pull this listing at anytime for any reason. Final payment due at pickup cash or certified check. Pickup must be within 7 days of end of auction and buyer assumes all liability for item after sales ends.
