CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME with original body tag on the cowl : Registered in HAMILTON (GOLDEN HORSE-SHOE ), ONTARIO, CANADA . 1947 GMC: 1 TON PANEL TRUCK : Ex- Fire Rescue emergency vehicle. Under the Cream colour paint is the original Red Paint.. Body style is 1946 model.. An early 1947 before style change. ENGINE : THERE IS NO ENGINE WITH THIS TRUCK. - It does have the original transmission , condition unknown. - Original steering column and box. All attached and working. - Axles and Rims are the original 8 bolt 1 ton . With 7.00 . 17” 6 ply tires. Wheel caps are rusty and/or dented.. This is a true Factory 1 Ton with a 134.5” W/B .. The Frame is straight and solid , no cracks, holes or thin spots. It is rusty with some pitting, paint with Por-15 and your good to go. Can use the original frame and add a modern driveline. Use a Chevy pickup with the same 134” W/B by switching the engine etc. Or use the modern frame complete and put the body on it... I was going to put a 350 or 454 in the truck.. The fun would be to turn it into a car cruize driver / car hauler with trailer .. A Work and Play Delivery Truck.. Why not go camping in it as well ? BODY : Side panels are good and straight. - All Bottom Edges are rusty and need metal work.. - Sills on the cowl legs need metal work.. - Around the Rear Doors need metal work and new Hinges.. If you don’t know how to work on metal, you will need to know someone that does. Or have a strong desire to learn.. If the learning is the way you want to go.. Lots of rusty practice spots to learn from.. Do the main work first.. Put it together drive in the nice weather then play/learn in the winter.. Making it an ongoing learning project as you have fun using it at the same time. Can make a great Rat Rod project. The floor wood in the rear is original and don’t need replacing. Leave it as is. All fenders, Hood, and related items are there to make it complete body parts.. As I took everything out of the rear compartment. It looked as though all the brackets and things are there.. The headlamp assembly is missing . But nothing Flea market items wouldn’t finish off. I did buy a second 1947 project that was going to give me any items I would need.. Make one truck out of all the parts.. Then make a second Rat Rod out of the rest. See my other eBay ads, One is a 1947 3 ton modified.. I was going to slice the panel body onto it, with an extended chassis wheel base.. The previous owner had made the doors wider as he was a big man and want easy access in and out. And The CAB / Cowl was ready to go. So it was going to save me the time in that area.. Good plan ! Also the Cab is lowered by six inches .. Half way to being a rat already.. Check it out.. I put a buy it now on both eBay listings so that if someone wanted to secure everything they can do so easily.. Please note pictures are in various stages of play.. It is in pieces and will need to be assembled and restored.. The pictures do show the current condition of parts and placed for staging for the pictures only. NEEDS COMPLETE RESTORATION....
