Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a true 1973 Mach 1. If you know anything about the VIN codes you will know that the 3rd and 4th digits as 05 make it a true Mach 1 not a clone. This car is sporting a 351 Cleveland as it should. I will explain the upgrades below. You will see by the pictures that this is a very nice driver and you will be able to take it on the road the day you take delivery. It is not a show car but could be if you wanted to spend the money. I prefer very nice drivers over the trailer queens. They are a lot more fun and you will not be nervous taking her out. The engine was rebuilt about 4 years ago but only has about 3000 miles on it. Enough to break it in and get the bugs out. I have only run it on 100% synthetic oil. .....More about the car…. ***Upgraded Edelbrock Performer series intake. ***Professionally remanufactured Holly 600 CFM carb w/ electric choke. I still have the original Motocraft 2100 2V if wanted. ***Car has new full floors welded in by the previous owner by a very well-known NASCAR welding shop. ***Rear quarters are all original in excellent condition ***New replacement fiberglass doors ( I have the originals if needed) ***Front fenders are original in excellent condition ***I replaced the NASA hood with a good original rust free steel hood for originality The paint was done locally in Acapulco Blue, an original Ford color not the cars original white as coded. The car looks so much better in the blue than the original white. **After paint I added back the Mach 1 striping using the 3M brand stipe kit. Then I finished the car with the correct semi-gloss black applied to the lower rockers. I mention the 3M original style stripes because they are still incandescent/meaning at night they glow silver (like police cars) Fuel lines where all flushed and cleaned and new sending unit installed in the fuel tank Headers were removed and stock exhaust manifolds were installed with an upgraded 2.25” exhaust system. Sounds great with a little rumble but not so bad you can’t talk or hear the stereo. Aftermarket Ansen brand/Crager style Mag wheels with 235 60 R14 raised white letter tires in the front and 245 60 R14 in the back for a good old school look! Interior is original and looks good!! I replaced the carpet, door panels and arm rest pads and bases, the dash pad, the rear interior sail panels and package tray. The rest of the interior (seat upholstery and headliner are original to the car and there is no rips but it is showing some wear).. New Chrome matching lock set Antenna Dual chrome side mirrors Rear spoiler of high quality Brakes all around New master brake cylinder Calipers and wheel cylinders The car is still registered and driven so if you are in the area and want to take a test drive please contact me to arrange. I am selling the car because I quite simply have too many. I love my 67 GT 350 and prefer driving her on weekends. I have a few other projects I am working on and could use the money for the completions. I am putting her up for sale at a VERY reasonable reserve. I will entertain a Buy it Now if someone wants to offer a reasonable price. If you have been looking for a very nice driver that needs virtually no work then this is the car for you. Most cars of this quality have been selling for low to mid-teens. This one can be owned for less than that. I will be happy to discuss this car with you if you would like to call me at 201-961-3433. The car was completely gone over in the past year so there is nothing that is “old”. IE paint was completed in December 2011. Thanks for looking and bid with confidence. I have 100% positive feedback and want to keep it that way. From Vintage mustang decoder.com the car is as follows. I also know that the car came from a collector in Florida and so that makes sense as the DSO is Jacksonville. The car has been in New Jersey for the past 4 years.
