Vehicle Detail
1988 Porsche 930 Factory Turbo Slantnose, code 505, 48,576 miles (driving it some, so that might change). Turbo H6 3.3L CIS Serviced through Greff Motors, New Orleans, LA Price check through NADA (as equipped) gives retail of at least $49,200, (unless I left something out). No reserve, will sell to first bid at $46,000 (or highest bid above that). 6 disc Alpine CD changer in trunk, single in dash. Digital mixture control is aftermarket and also a aftermarket steering wheel. Upgraded Inter-cooler, original turbo charger, all gaskets, seals and air conditioner serviced recently. Now on orignal Fuchs wheels with Yokohama ES100 205/55ZR16 90W (front) and ES100 245/45ZR16 94W (rear). Date codes on tires are the 28th week of 2007. Rare car, I am told that this is one of only 650 made for export to the entire world during only three years of production (86-88). Also, I am told the 505 Slantnose option was an additional $34,000 in 1988! Due to the high cost of this original factory option many people converted their cars to "slant nose" looking cars with "kits". Some kits were dealer installed or dealer installed options. This is not a dealer conversion. This is not a kit. No part of this car is a kit or conversion. This is not an aftermarket conversion. It is an original factory built turbo charged and inter-cooled Carrera 930S Coupe with the Slant Nose option. Of the 650 Slantnose cars made by the factory in the three years that the factory produced them (1986-1988) many were not coupes, and some were not even turbos. Many were in fact cabriolet style (convertibles, soft tops). Although I do not have the actual number made, I would submit to you that there were fewer than 400 of these coupes made.........ever!! Of those, many did not make it to the USA, going instead to the ROW (Rest of the World, which USA would be part of also). Of the ones that made it to the USA, at least some of those have been totalled out by now (24 years later). So this thing is at least rare, possibly very rare or extremely rare. In original , unrestored, unwrecked condition with original paint. Factory option codes show 505 (slantnose option for USA), 650 (Targa sliding roof) and CO3 (California car). Other option codes shown are 158 (radio), 220 (locking differential) and 533 (alarm system). No rust at all on this one, south Louisiana car for many years. Car is kept in enclosed garage, not driven when wet or raining. It does not snow here. The car is in great condition, for sale by the sole owner with a clear Louisiana title with no liens or loans. I will assist in delivery or exporting if needed, but only after complete and total payment with good clean funds that have cleared into my account. There may be a waiting period for funds to clear. Check my 100% perfect feedback score for last 13 years on eBay. Email questions. Thanks. ** Note about AutoCheck Values....the price comparisions of other 911 or 930 models may not account for the factory turbo or factory slant nose options, do your homework, it is an extremely rare original survivor car. Thanks *** Note: There are some small paint chips along the edge of both doors as expected from this year model as well as a few very tiny minor paint chips here and there from rocks or whatever on the front of the car (very minute in size and number). There are no other issues with the paint, there is no rust, bubbles, blisters or any cancers of any kind, no fades, peels, hazing, etc.... The car does have it's original Guards Red factory paint and to my knowledge has never been repainted. Also, it does have a K&N air intake filter and a Kokelin inter-cooler installed. I took these photos myself with my cheap camera that is five years old. I am not a photographer....sorry! That said, if you see anything wrong with the paint, it is my photography, not the paint. The paint is great, better than great even. **** I had a bidder ask if there was a smog pump on the engine. He described to me where it should be. I could not find it. I am thinking it is not there. However, there are some for sale on eBay if your locality requires one. *****I have updated the auction with photos of the car on the orignal Fuchs wheels with aformentioned mounted tires, which will go to the purchaser of the car if desired. Alternatively, the purchaser may elect to receive the car with the aftermarket Forgeline wheels with mounted 18" tires. Those are (front) Yokohama Advan Sport 225/40ZR18 92Y and (rear) Yokohama Advan Sport 295/30ZR18 98Y. Date codes are 36th week of 2006. Existing tire tread on all tires is good to great with slight even wear. All wheels are in great shape too. If the purchaser would like both sets of wheels/tires, then that is possible with an additional payment of $2,000 over the closing bid price. I will not sell either set individually to anybody until the car is first sold. ******I do not think the car has a catalytic converter, unless it is itside the muffler. Not sure if it came with one that year either. It is fine here in Louisiana, but your state may have different requirements. The car does have a working air conditioner and it will make it anywhere you want to drive it. I have more photos, (ebay only allows me 24), showing the single motor and operating shaft/arm of the original headlamp operating system. I also have photos of everything else. Thank you for bidding. On Jan-31-12 at 14:20:07 PST, seller added the following information: I will accept a $5,000 deposit by PayPal. This deposit shall hold the car for a period of two weeks, that is 14 days. If a sale is completed in those 14 days, then the sale amount due at closing shall be reduced by the $5,000 and the balance payable at closing. If a sale is not completed in due time, (14 days), then the $5,000 shall be forfeited. However, if the buyer determines, after his personal inspection of the car, that I have misrepresented it, or that there are material problems with the car or with the paperwork or any problems with the included wheels, tires or accessories, then I shall immediately, cheerfully and fully refund the $5,000 deposit in the same manner in which it was received. I may extend the 14 day period if I determine that forward progress is being made and a sale will ultimately occur. I will extend the 14 days if any delay is caused on my part.
