Vehicle Detail
Hey, I bought this car about a year, year and a half ago, and I loved it. I had an Eclipse before this one but it was in an accident so I just used the insurance money to buy this one. It's a 1998 Eclipse GS that I purchased from a kid that goes to Lincoln Tech. He waited until after I gave him the money to tell me that it was a Lincoln Tech project car. They used this car in class to do repairs and work on it, sounds like a good deal right? No. A bunch of rookies were in charge of taking it apart and putting it back together in the wrong way. I bought the car and knew right off the bat it was going to be a problem. A friend of mine and I brought this car into his shop and worked on it almost everyday. When I bought it, the car was just lowered an inch in the front and 3/4 in the back. The additions that I put into the car are: Stainless Steel Exhaust HID Halo Headlights Aftermarket Radio Cold Air Intake Rear Aftermarket Taillights Engine Swap It's not many parts because I spent most of my time fixing the car rather than upgrading it. The engine swap was nothing big, I just swapped it so I could use regular gas instead of premium. It is still a 2G Eclipse DOHC 16 Valve. The problems fixed on the car were: Wrong Axles (they used an older models axle which didn't fit into the transmission properly) Cooling System Dashboard Sensors New Clutch Rebuilt Transmission I am selling the car because I used to live in Pennsylvania and I am now moving to New Jersey with my girlfriend. I bought a Chevy Trailblazer for her and I. Now the car just sits there. I loved working on the car in my spare time, but now I'm in college and working, I can't find the time to work with the car. The car sounds, looks, and drives amazing. This car is my baby and it's going to be hard to part with it, but the Trailblazer I bought needs body work and money is tight. The plates say Pennsylvania because I am waiting until the car sells so I can transfer my license without paying the extra Title Transfer Fee from state to state.
