Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE Texas Car with Rusty Roof. 302 Automatic, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Nice Chrome, Under side in very, very good shape. Even has the origonal FORD muffler and exhaust. Engine: 302 runs but squeels. Needs tune up or rebuild. Transmission: automatic shifted fine when last driven. Interior: Bucket seats, tan w/ pin stripe. Only slight wear. Door panels are very nice. Just needs a good cleaning. Dash pad has cracks. Tires & Wheels: Someone slashed the ones on the car w/ an ice pick. THIS VEHICLE SOLD W/O TIRES OR WHEELS. Bring four with you or I can try to dig something up. I brought this car to Wisconsin from Texas several years ago. I sold it to a guy who was going to put a 460 crate motor in it for his wife. The car sat in storage (at a farm I think) and the interior smells. I put baby powder on the carpet but it didn't help much. I bought it back and the roof was rusty and the vinyl peeling. This is not a car to simply tune up and drive. It will need a good cleaning and restoration. It's strong points are it is a bucket seat sport. Texas car, chrome in very good condition. Not modified from stock condition. Weak points would be the poor running 302 and the smell of the interior. Gas tank did not leak, Doors sound very solid when you close them. If this sounds like a project you can handle this may be for you. I was going to remove the roof, install a 351 Cleveland and paint the car. Don't think I'll get to it so it's up for auction. I have discribed this vehicle to the best of my knowlage and have taken the pictures showing the worst areas and feel my discription is accurate. Please ask all questions before bidding and I will try to answer. Buyer responsiable for shipping. I will assist in loading. Clear Wisconsin title Good luck and happy bidding. Please see my other items. Will be listing several 78 79 F150 4 x 4's and 9" ford center sections. Thanks On Mar-20-12 at 05:53:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I've taken pictures of the underside and although I can't post them because I'am at the max of 24. I can tell you the floor pans and frame rails are very, very clean. What you would expect from a Texas car. This will save countless hours when you get to that point of the restoration. On Mar-20-12 at 18:26:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi, I took pictures of the trunk area today because alot of you are asking about rust. I didn't have the key so I got my skinny nephew to clime in through the back seat and remove the latch. Just got off the phone w/ ebay and I can not add or delete any pictures because there are bids on the car. I will try to describe what you would see if you opened the trunk. The left wheel well area has NO RUST. You can still see the factory undercoating. The wire harness that goes to the fuel tank and lights still looks new. The right wheel well looks as good as the left. You can clearly see the bolts and nuts that hold the chrome mouldings in place. The surface ares of the trunk has some surface rust but no holes. There is a little more around the body plug on the left side compared to the one on the right. Some areas still have shiney green paint. Except for the surface rust, I could wax and polish the trunk as you would any exterior panel and it would look amazing. So, no holes found. I did tear the factory trunk mat in the process but it had a few tears in it anyway. If the roof area doesn't scare you away, there is nothing on the underside, frame rails or trunk that would make you think twice. It really is that nice. Remember, this is a Texas car. The roof is the worst part. Otherwise, this would be a very nice orignal. Hope this helps answer your concerns. I tried to send a few of you the extra pictures but they for some reason won't go through. Too many at once so I tried to just send 4 at a time and I still can't. Sorry for this. Please ask questions before you bid and I will return an answer A.S.A.P. thanksOn Mar-22-12 at 22:37:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Per request, removed seats and carpeting today. Floor was found to be solid. No suprise there, It's a Texas car. Also have keys and will try to start it if time permits.
