The La Grange Illinois Police Department is offereing the following vehicle for sale: Silver 1997 Cadillac Seville STS 4 Door (32 V Northstar) with a mileage of 278,662 miles The vehicle has front/rear A/C in working order. There are standard A/C controls on the dash, on the steering wheel, and in the rear passenger compartment. The vehicle has power windows with controls in working order. The vehicle has power mirrors in working order. The vehicle has a standard speedometer on the dash as well as a digital dash in working order. The vehicle has a stereo/cassette player in working order with standard controls and working controls on the steering wheel. The vehicle has a 12 CD disc changer in the trunk (unknown if working-we didn't try it). The vehicle has a sunroof, no known leaks. There is a working light in the glovebox with several of the vehicle's books/manuals included. The vehicle has lighted visor mirrors. The vehicle has many other electronic features that were standard (unknown if all of them work-we did not try all of them). The interior (including the leather seats) seem to be in fair to okay condition, but will need a cleaning. All exterior lights/signals appear to be in working order and the tires are in okay condition. The vehicle will need a new battery and a tune up, as it has been stored indoors for the past several months. The vehicle appears to run and drive well with no known major issues. The front passenger seat has working electronic adjustable seating, not the driver's side. The power door locks buttons do not work-must be locked manually. The power sunroof button does not work. The fuel door button and the open trunk button don't work-both must be opened manually. All above electrical issues MAY or may not be a fuse only-we did not check. Although the vehicle has high mileage (again), it runs and drives well with no known major problems. The plastic housing is missing from the right front side marker light, however, the turn signal still operates. The spare tire in the trunk is bad. There is a small scrape on the left front 1/4 panel. The hood has small "dings," possible from gravel hitting. There are very minor "dings." scratches, dents about the vehicle, however, it appears normal wear-n-tear for it's age. The front grill is attached, but loose. The lower front decorative trim is cracked. The front passenger seat belt housing is broken. Lastly, the "check coolant level" indicator is on (digital dash), so we added coolant. It does not appear to be leaking, but the warning is still on. The vehicle is a seized/forfeited vehicle and MUST be sold according to Illinois law-it MUST be sold in an auction-style setting such as eBay and there is no Buy-It-Now Option. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with no existing warranty, neither express nor implied. The winning bidder is responsible for the pick up of the vehicle or making arrangements with a private shipping service. Due to the vehicle being sold AS IS and with no warranty, we suggest that potential bidders view the vehicle in person, as there may be undetected problems or defects that we are unaware of. Bidders may have an independant inspection completed at their own cost prior to bidding. All sales are FINAL and no price adjustments will be given.
