Terms & Conditions Please read through all of the terms and conditions of this sale – it is well worth your time even if they are long and through. These terms have been revised and adjusted based on what we have learned in nearly a decade of selling vehicles on eBay. These conditions are there to protect both the seller and buyer and to let you know what to expect from this sale. We are not responsible for anything that you chose not to read. We have a regular sales facility complete with office, lot and shop. We are members of the Cumberland Maine Business Association and strive to be a valued member of our community. Although we were founded in 2011, our dealer principal has approximately 10 years of business experience selling vehicles online – and a lifetime of experience around cars, racecars, trucks and equipment. He has sold vehicles to customers all over the world on eBay. We maintain a full website that tells all about our business and us and invite you to check it out. We want you to learn about our business so you know that we are professionals and not a fly-by-night operation. The title will be released to the winning bidder once full payment is received. Due to financial institutions sometimes holding titles, there could be a slight delay in this process of 24-48 hours before you have a title in hand or overnight shipped to you. Rarely will this take any longer. If the buyer is a Maine resident, we will collect a $33 title fee from that buyer and submit that title application to the state on your behalf. All eBay sales include a State of Maine arbitration fee of $1. That is required by law, but we work it into our eBay prices. We do not charge any documentation or preparation fees. We do collect 5% sales tax from Maine residents only. That is a state law. Out of state buyers are responsible for paying sales tax in their home states and localities as required by law. Advance notice of pick-up is requested. We maintain business hours on each weekday and can usually meet you on evenings and Saturdays to show a car or have you pick it up. By law, we are required to be closed for business on Sundays, but if the titlework is completed in advance and you just need to pick up a car on a Sunday, we might be able to make arrangements to have you do so. We try to work with all of our customers based on their needs. If you have different needs for a vehicle, please let us know as we have other cars and trucks in inventory that we could put up for auction and/or list on eBay by request. We also have other vehicles in the process of being prepped for sale and we can always look to find what you are in the market for. We buy our cars at auctions throughout New England and have access to thousands of vehicles out there, so it never hurts to ask. Please e-mail us any questions. If you are coming in from out of town, we will do our best to pick you up at the Portland, Maine airport (PWM) or the Portland, Maine Amtrak or bus stations. Please just let us know before you book your travel so we can coordinate schedules. We can also recommend local lodging if you are coming in from out of town. There are beaches, lobster pounds, outlet stores, lighthouses and all kinds of tourist attractions within 15 minutes of our dealership, so we recommend making a vacation to the Maine coast part of your car buying experience. We can also work with shippers and even recommend a few shippers who we have heard to have good reputations if you are having a car shipped. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours and full payment is required within seven days unless prior arrangements are made. If full payment is not received within that timeframe, your deposit will be forfeited to pay towards our eBay fees and costs to list this item. Your eBay bid is a legally binding contract. Please only bid if you have the intention of following through with your commitment to buy. You are responsible for arranging financing, but we will do our best to work with your financial institution to make everything easy. Most of our cars for sale come with 14-day temporary license plates. These are not available though to Massachusetts residents due to Massachusetts laws. You are responsible for obtaining your own insurance. If a car is being sold as an unsafe vehicle that needs repair work (i.e. a fixer-upper), we will disclose that in the ad and advise you to have it towed or shipped from our dealership. Those cars should not be driven on the roads until they are repaired and properly inspected in your home state. I was one of the first dealers to sell vehicles on eBay and over the past decade, I’ve heard all kinds of excuses where someone’s wife, children, business partner, dog, burglar or pet goldfish has logged onto their account and “accidently” purchased an item. If it is your account, you will be responsible for your accounts. We are reasonable to work with, but cannot incur the costs from someone committing to a purchase and then changing their mind. A $200 non-performance charge will be assessed to any non-paying bidder. This will be in addition to any forfeited deposit. We will use the court system and/or collection agencies to collect that fee. If the legal system is used, we will also charge all legal fees to the non-paying bidder. This is how we make our living and it’s not a game to us. We reserve the right to waive these fees if you have a legit and documented issue that comes up, we are human beings after all, but we are also in business and need to pay our overhead . If a buyer comes to physically see a vehicle and they do not agree with the condition report that we have made, we will work with them to make things right and if they have a valid concern, we will release them from any commitment to buy. The majority of my buyers through the years have told me after the sale that their vehicle was even better than it was described. We strive for that kind of reaction from our customers. We request that vehicles be picked up within seven days of the sale unless other arrangements are made – but we are understanding of travel arrangements and can usually hold a car or relocate it to a storage facility if you ask us to. This is a 2000 Cadillac Seville STS that we just took in trade for a newer Cadillac Deville. We have driven it about 500 miles to assess its condition, and although it is being sold as-is with some work needed, it is a decent car that should work well for its new own after a few parts and time invested.
This car is dark green metallic with a light beige leather interior. It has a 32-valve 4.6-liter Northstar V-8 engine and an automatic transmission. It has dual exhaust. It currently has 147,408 miles.
This car is equipped with a factory Bose stereo with cassette player, in dash single CD plater and a six-disc CD changer in the console. It has perforated leather seats with front and rear heated seats. It has a memory driver’s seat and power front seats. It is equipped with a moonroof. It has automatic dual climate control with rear heat and air conditioning controls. It is equipped with a electric tilt steering wheel. It has cruise control, power windows, power door locks, side airbags, front driver and passenger airbags, chrome wheels, automatic headlamps and an eletronic compass on the rear view mirror. The car also has wood trim on the shifter, steering wheel and dashboard.
I have found this to be a very comfortable and well driving car. It rides great. The car starts right up and does not knock. The battery appears to be strong and it idles smooth. It has plenty of power.
The previous owner reported excessive oil consumption. I have added one quart of oil in about 500 miles of driving. A common issue on these cars are oil leaks from the oil pan gasket or intake manifold. The previous owner used this car as a daily driver, but just kept an eye on the oil level.
I also found an intermident problem wit the car running warm. It would happen after about 45 minutes of highway driving at low RPMs only. The symptoms are not consistant with those of a head gasket issue. There is not milky white residue on the oil cap or distick. There is no odor of coolant. There is no loss of coolant. It seems to be an issue with a blockage in a hose or radiator, but I have not had the car serviced so I do not know for sure.
The windshield is cracked, but the rest of the glass is good.
The transmission shifts well and firm. There do not appear to be any issues there.
The steering is tight and responsive. There is a moderate vibration around 60-65 miles per hour. It appears that the left front tie rod might need replacement.
The interior is probably average or slightly below average. There are a few light stains here and there and the previous owner was a smoker. There are no tears in the leather seating though or cracks on the dashboard. The headliner does not sag.
The power accessories all work – including the power windows and moonroof. The heated seats work. The stereo sounds great – although there are some rust stains on the left front speaker cover. The remote trunk release does not work.
The body is has a few issues, but it is not excessively bad for the car’s age and mileage. The front fender has a dent that had a poor repair job done to it. Please refer to the photos on that. The front bumper appears to have been repainted and there are several sizable chips and a few spots of flaking paint on it. There are several scratches on the rear bumper below the trunk lid – likely from loading luggage. There is slight surface rust on the back portion of the right rear door.. There is a cracked left rear taillight that has been taped. There is also a missing molding on each front door and a small area of rust on the left rear door edge.
The tires are Kumho P235/60R16 with good tread remaining. The left front tire has 5/32nds of tread left. The right front has 8/32nds of tread remaining. The left rear tire has 8/32nds of tread remaining and the right rear has 5/32nds of tread remaining. The State of Maine inspection requirement is at least 2/32nds of tread.
The wheels have some tarnishing on the chrome. There is also some staining from brake dust on the wheels.
The car has a clean Carfax report.
The State of Maine has a tough state safety inspection program and this car would not pass for a Maine sticker. It would need a new windshield, a new left rear taillight and front end work. Therefore, it is being sold as-is with an “unsafe vehicle” form that will be prepared by a licensed Maine inspection technician who will note any issues found. It does not come with temporary plates and it should not be operated on public roads prior to being fixed. We advise you to have it shipped or trailered home. Most of our cars for sale come with 14-day temporary license plates. These are not available though to Massachusetts residents due to Massachusetts laws. You are responsible for obtaining your own insurance. If a car is being sold as an unsafe vehicle that needs repair work (i.e. a fixer-upper), we will disclose that in the ad and advise you to have it towed or shipped from our dealership. Those cars should not be driven on the roads until they are repaired and properly inspected in your home state.
I was one of the first dealers to sell vehicles on eBay and over the past decade, I’ve heard all kinds of excuses where someone’s wife, children, business partner, dog, burglar or pet goldfish has logged onto their account and “accidently” purchased an item. If it is your account, you will be responsible for your accounts. We are reasonable to work with, but cannot incur the costs from someone committing to a purchase and then changing their mind. A $200 non-performance charge will be assessed to any non-paying bidder. This will be in addition to any forfeited deposit. We will use the court system and/or collection agencies to collect that fee. If the legal system is used, we will also charge all legal fees to the non-paying bidder. If a buyer comes to physically see a vehicle and they do not agree with the condition report that we have made, we will work with them to make things right and if they have a valid concern, we will release them from any commitment to buy. The majority of my buyers through the years have told me after the sale that their vehicle was even better than it was described. We strive for that kind of reaction from our customers.
We request that vehicles be picked up within seven days of the sale unless other arrangements are made – but we are understanding of travel arrangements and can usually hold a car or relocate it to a storage facility if you ask us to. We are reasonable to work with.

It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.--> On Mar-19-12 at 17:23:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Update - I drove this car this past weekend and on a 100-mile trip, the temperature gauge did not move past halfway. I'm not sure if there was an air pocket in the cooling system or an issue with the radiator or thermostat and I'm not going to conclude that the overheating issue is fixed for good, but this makes me think that it is not a major problem. Also, the check engine light came on for a Cylinder Eight misfire. I reset the system and it runs fine now. Finally, I left one portion of my notes out of the original listing. The Stability Control/Traction Control and ABS lights are on with this car as well as a message to replace the brake pads. The previous owner claimed that these messages were because when his mechanic most recently replaced the brakes, he did not have the proper GM computer to reset the codes (that type of computer is an expensive one from what I understand). The brakes feel fine driving it, so this might be the case. I'm simply not qualified enough to offer a professional opinion on that issue.
