Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 2001 Chrysler LHS. The LHS is identical in engine, transmission, interior, features as a Chrysler 300 of that vintage. I purchased this vehicle used from a dealer with 30,000 miles back in 2003. The Car was used to Commute from Massachusetts to Montreal, Quebec, every other weekend for four years, a 700 mile round trip. At 100,000 miles I gave the car to my wife and it has been used as her commuter car, 80 miles a day, since. Most mileage is highway. The car has 240,000 plus miles, and I will sell it as a "PARTS CAR" only. The bill of sale will say Parts, because I don't want to deal with any lemon law bull. It has been in a heated garage since I've owned it. We've decided to get rid of it because it began making a squeaking noise at the front of the motor. As someone who's mechanically inclined it sounds like an idler pully, water pump, alternator maybe, etc. The point is it's not any kind of internal bearing wrap. The motor runs smooth and has plenty of power, It's just time to move on. Here's what's Wrong: -Needs Windshield, has a crack. -A/C no longer works -Dent/crack in passenger side front fender/bumper. -There are scrapes, scratches, dings you name it typical for a car with this mileage. -A plastic hood piece is missing, up by the windshield. -Faded headlight lenses, pits in grill, etc. -Needs to have whatever is squeaking up front fixed. The Car had a rebuilt transmission put in at 175,000 miles. I can't prove this, we thought we'd be bringing this car to the crusher. The shaft bearings wore out, not the transmission, but it's all one unit so we replaced it. Oil was changed every 3000-4000 miles, all needed maintenance was done. Tires on car are Continental 225/55-17 with 70 percent tread left. There is a full spare with a new tire, not a Continental. Everything works, amazingly, heated seats, electric seats, gauges, cruise, radio, climate control system (except A/C). There is no body rot, exhaust does not leak and is original, battery is less than two years old. Remember I am selling this as a parts car, but should you decide to fix and register, I wouldn't be surprised if it went another 100,000 miles. Inspection sticker valid through June of 2012 This is an absolute auction, please ask any questions before bidding, and please don't bid if you're not serious.
