1980 Chevy Malibu. Fresh New Build. Hasn't made any passes. Up for auction is my 1980 Malibu. I have a clear title in hand so nothing to worry about in title transfer. It works flawlessly. - Holley strip dominator intake - New HEI gutted and fitted with MSD coil and electronic module - MSD Black plug wires - Remanufactured Holley 800cfm Race Carb (no choke horn) - Aluminum valve covers - Holley fuel pressure reg and gauge - GM serpentine pulleys - Schoenfeld 1 7/8 prim headers - 3" exhaust by local "Custom Exhaust" Dumped at axle TRANSMISSION: - GM TH400 - 3800 stall - Modified valve body for full manual operation - about 10 street miles since completely rebuilt - RV drum and race sprag to double the strength of tranny - Performs perfectly and shifts instantly AXLE: - GM 7.5 axle - Richmond 3.73 gears - Zexel Torsion 7.5 posi differential (strongest available) - Moser 28 spline axles - All new bearings and seals - Jegs carrier cover with carrier support - Solid pinion spacer - locally shortened and larger driveshaft - Rebuilt and cleaned stock drum brakes Overall Car modifications: - Custom front bumper mounts - lighter and tuck bumper in 1 inch. - Aluminum panel covering AC/Heater box - New Gauges and Tach - Custom built tranny crossmember - Bucket seats, cut out bench mounts - cut off wiper motor mount and removed wipers - removed rear bumper brace for less weight - 6-point roll cage installed and tucked very tight out of sight - B&M carbon fiber ratchet shifter - Jegs aluminum wheels - Hooser fronts - Hooser Quick Time Pro 27x10.50 for rear - No suspension mods yet - Rebuilt Manual steering box - New draglink and tierod ends - Homemade PCV oil seperator breather tank. Works pretty good. - Thermo activated electric fan. (no switches to forget about) - Aluminum radiator - Trans cooler with fan. (also activated by engine thermo switch) - UP22 fiberglass 3" cowl hood with fiberglass hood springs - Hood pins - Sumped stock gas tank - 1/2 braided fuel line with AN fittings - AN fittings and braided line for trans cooler - Driveshaft loop - 5-point harness Tried to keep the car simple so it could concentrate on being consistent. I have replaced it, but it dented the car pretty good. I painted the top half rattle-can flat black to reduce the visibility of the damage. The Good: No rust anywhere. I live in a very dry part of Texas and when it occasionally snows. They use sand on the roads, not salt. Please take a look at the pictures, thanks for looking and good luck! I added some pictures to show the rear frame rails behind the wheels, the bulk of the hail damage, how well the rear down bars are tucked up to the rear pillars, some current interior pics, and pics of the interior pieces I have that convey with the car. I know the rear bench, lower door panels, carpet, and rear dash are missing. I have never tried to put the interior in so I don't know if it is all there, but the bulk of it appears to be.
