Vehicle Detail
First and foremost let me say that I looked at a lot of cars before I bought this one. The only reason I'm selling it, is that I've bought a convertible and I don't need them both. This car has just over 80000 actual miles and runs excellent. This was the last year that Cadillac used the 429. I added a Pertronix ignitor II (electronic ignition) so dealing with points is no longer an issue. The car cranks every time and is very reliable. I've driven it on several long trips. It's a great road car. It has cold a/c and all of the power windows work as they should as well as the power seat. It also has tilt/telescopic steering as well as auto dimming headlights. The stock am/fm radio and it's power antenna still work as well. The interior is all original and amazingly preserved. Everyone is always blown away by how nice the inside of this car is. The body of this car is immaculate. It's always been stored indoors and is a southern car. It's a truly 100% rust free automobile. All of the chrome and the moldings are in excellent shape. The paint is Driver condition. By "driver" I mean that it's not a show winning paint job. It still a very nice looking car. The car was repainted before I got it, it displays very well but there are a few imperfections in the paint. The vinyl top was also installed when the car was painted. The wheels are 20" true made in the USA Daytons with nearly new tires. I also have the original wheels and hubcaps for the car. They have tires but appear to be kind of dry. I'd suggest only using them as rollers. I also have an owners manual, 1967 shop manual (like the dealer mechanics used) as well as a binder used for letting customers make color selections and interior selections when ordering a new cadillac in 1967. This Cadillac truly needs nothing but a new home. I've shown it at 2 different Good-guys events as well as lots of cruise-ins. The car always draws a crowd. I encourage anyone seriously interested in the car to either come look at it and drive it, or enlist an agent to do so for you. I will also be glad to email a link to well over 100 pictures of this car. I have nothing to hide, just need to find this great car a new owner. I've also listed it for sale other places besides Ebay, so if you're truly interested don't wait for the auction to end to contact me. I will end the auction early if someone shows up with the cash to buy it. I can be reached at 423-718-6480. I get off work at 3:30 eastern time and will be glad to talk to anyone about the car after that time. Please be sure to leave me a voicemail so I know to call you back. Terms of sale are Cash. I also take Cash. Car leaves my possesion when I have money in my hands. On Mar-14-12 at 13:02:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Links to more pictures. http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj166/seeten/9-5--2010%20Caddy%20Rome/ http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj166/seeten/caddy/ On Mar-15-12 at 13:25:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I'm posting a link which will show pictures of the engine, the bottoms of the doors and the floorpans and the trunk pan. The underside of the car still has it's factory undercoating. There is no rust evident anywhere under the car. The door jambs and the bottom of the trunk lid were not painted when the car was painted. What you're seeing is the original factory sprayed Baroque Gold. There is no rust on the bottom of the doors or the trunk. It's an extrememly solid car. Needs nothing but a driver. I also enclosed a picture of the Crested Cadillac keys. http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj166/seeten/caddy%20undercarriage/
