Up for auction is this 1987 Mercedes 300E. The odometer has 181000. I just finished putting close to $5,000. dollars into this vehicle for my granddaughter to drive back and forth to college. At the last minute, she decided to not attend college, so the car stays with me. That was the deal. I bought the car for $2,400.00. Had the upper end of the motor rebuilt. I put in a rebuilt steering box, had the air conditioning unit completely rebuilt, replaced the condenser and dryer, put on 4 brand new tires, they have less then 300 miles on them, they cost me $530.00. Replaced both the front turn signal lens, replaced the glove compartment door because the lock was broke. Replaced the cold start valve. Installed a $565.00 Alpine Stereo/CD Player. Flushed all the fluids and had a complete tune up, all filters and lube with synthetic oil. Had the complete car detailed and waxed. Cosmedically the car is excellant. It is a southern car from South Carolina and I just had it shipped here. All the work was done by a certified Mercedes Tech in South Carolina. 6 Cyl and good on gas. Those are all the good things, now the bad one, the transmission is starting to slip in first gear. I still drive it 80 miles or so back and forth to work once or twice each week but there is some slipping in first gear only...SO....I am selling it. It is being offered with a low opening bid and NO RESERVE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE, what ever the bid is, THE CAR IS GONE, so bid often and bid with confidence as I have over 1218 eBay transactions and 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK.
