Vehicle Detail

1989 Chevy Corvette coupe. Original L-98 iron block/aluminum head engine is converted to Edelbrock 3701 intake manifold with Edelbrock #1406 4-barrel carb.Has Mallory #4309 fuel pressure regulator with inline liquid filled pressure guage and 2nd fuel filter. This allows the use of the factory fuel pump which works fine. There are no fuel or manifold leaks.Has K&N air filter and valve cover breather. Also has TPIS - AC/AIR pulley eliminator kit.The cars engine stays nice and cool without the AC condenser blocking the radiator.Has 160 degree thermostat as well with manuel fan switch.(switch can be eliminated with a fan relay kit from Mid-America-Motorworks.($40-) .But Ive rarely had to use the fan; -sitting still in traffic; or a 90 degree high humidity day only.Oil changed every 3K with Mobil-1 - 10W-30 only. Added Note: I found a pic of car the year before carb conversion that I added. Anyone clicking the "buy it now" button gets the glass top with the car.Or if car reaches $4800 from bidders as well. Front pass side top mount is worn. Ive been swapping the mount from the original top to the glass top with the included factory torx ratchet. Ive only done this a time or two since I basically always used the glass top and not the fiberglass top.The Vette's BIN price is at least $1500 below the cars value not counting the extra top Im adding.Thats the most I can sweeten the deal. I just need the car off my uncles property as his stress level is rising and someones gonna get a heck of deal because of that.I will add several more pics on Friday.I also reserve the right to end this auction early since car is advertised locally. Has fiberglass Stinger hoodscoop that is screened front and back. Much time was spent to ensure that the scoop is perfectly centered as well. Scoop does need a crack repaired and a blockoff pad for front opening;I did make 1 for the back thats velcroed in place. The cruise control system works perfect but needs a custom throttle bracket installed before reconnecting the actuator. The car has working anti-theft system with pass-key. The reverse rotational headlights work perfect as do all lights on the car. This is the first year for Corvette to have a 6-speed which includes the (german made) ZF1 - 6-speed transmission with hydraulic clutch and Dana 44 rear end.Has 4-wheel anti-lock brakes and of course has 4-wheel independant suspension with aluminum alloy suspension conponents. The wheels are ZR1 style chrome steel 17" X 8-1/2" in size. They have custom C4 emblems for centercaps. Interior is red/blk trim.Has removable fiberglass Targa top;and removable "soft-top" for short trips.Car comes with indoor dust cover and original leather owners manual.Car has power-windows/door locks/mirrors/antenna/both seats(small hole in drivers seat like most C4's)/hatch release(3)/rear defroster.Has Pioneer Premier AM/FM/CD with remote CD changer in back(I have no cartridges and never used it;however it powers up and may work).Has tilt/telescopic steering wheel.Outdoor temp indicater.Glove box door works fine and locks, the light works as well. The padded top is in excellent shape but is starting to dislodge on passenger side. The ride control has never worked since I bought the car, so it's always in performance mode. The car runs and drives excellent. Ive sold my house and no longer have a garage to complete the car the way Id planned.Car is not perfect cosmetically-but there is no damage anywhere on the car and it still turns heads and is fun to drive. Not to mention the carburetor will never let you down like the factory computer in the TPI set-up. Theres no "limp-home mode" like todays cars.So any sensor or fuel injector that goes bad shuts down the motor! Very frustrating, and also the reason for the carb conversion.I trust this Vette to go cross country and back anytime. The car has muffler eliminators. In my opinion a pair of performance mufflers would be well worth the expence. The one place I went cheap on was the distributor.I bought a brand new $50- distributer and I should have spent more for a quality performance distributer. I will start with installing a quality Protronix distributor if the car doesn't sell quickly and adjust the cars price accordingly; and then the mufflers. I will first wait until my auction ends(just in case winning bidder already has these parts and would prefer to buy the car cheaper to install their own parts). This is probably the nicest/lowest priced 6-speed Vette on the web. It does need some TLC for little things like the already mentioned glove box pad etc... But thats for people that love Vettes like I do. Car is already a depedable daily driver as is. I will answer all questions. Anyone that wants to see the car can email me to arrange a time.I will be in New Hampshire early this weekend. Added Info: (The 14" circle hood cutout is included for LS engine owners that want to restore the hood to original condition). The cars heater is controlled with a on/off switch, and a heater door slide rod. This is necessary since the computer controlled the AC/heat. A manual heat control panel can be purchased at a parts yard for $10- or less and would serve the purpose but for myself its fine as is. There is some paint loss on drivers door under the mirror and a few very small scuffs and tiny paint chip loss around the car. The car is exactly the way I bought in 2004 barring the tiny paint chips from normal driving. The tires have maybe 3/32's in front and 1/32's on back. I have a pair of like new Goodyear Eagle ZR40's with 9/32's of tread.(new have 10/32's) I will let them go with the car for an additional $200.00 at winning bidders discretion; Those tires went for $325.00 per tire when new. A haynes manual is also included with the car.
