Up for auction is a very clean 1986 Suzuki GV 1200GLF Madura. This bike was Suzuki's answer to Honda's V65 Magna. It spanked the Magna in all of the motorcycle tests & reviews. This is the lesser known of the "Muscle Bikes", but it doesn't diminish its performance. This bike put out more horse power & torque than the Magnas and were more comfortable to ride and required less maintenance than the other "Power Cruisers". This bike is not for beginners. Rated at 117hp. This bike will run like a sportbike, but you will be comfortable to ride all day. These bikes would run low to mid 11 sec 1/4 mile @ around 115 mph depending on the motorcycle magazine doing the testing. That is still fast today and really fast for a cruiser. This is a clean bike with only 18,882 miles. never been down, but dropped on trailer the other day. Notice the scuff on right side cover plate. The gas tank is really clean on the inside. It doesn't need cleaned or treated. Original paint all around & still shines nice. Front tire replaced not long ago, but rear tire will need to be replaced soon. All the lights & gauges work. Bike starts right up & settles into a nice idle after short warm up. Doesn't smoke. Bike has normal wear & tear for a bike of its age along with a few minor scuffs or scratches here or there. Nothing big or noticable, but this is not a new bike! There is a small tear on the front left side of driver's seat. This bike runs great & has been taken care of. DOES NOT need tune up or anything like that. Bike starts right up & is ready to ride. It does have some light corrosion on some of the aluminum parts which is typical of all of the bikes of its age. Could be polished up if somebody wanted to take the time to do so. This bike does NOT have rusted spokes like some of these bikes do! This bike is ready to ride. Buy it & ride it home.
