Vehicle Detail

This 1968 REAL 242 GTO comes with PHS documentation, showing it was originally a 4-speed car and still retains its original colors - black exterior and black interior. This is a console car with a hurst competition plus shifter. The interior in this car is in very good condition with 1 small tear on the seam of the driver's side seat cushion, also note the original GM seat belts are intact, dashboard is in excellent shape, console is flawless, rear seat is in excellent shape, carpet is perfect, door panels also excellent condition. The glass in the car is 8/10 - no cracks, some small scratches, would not show in photos. The paint and the body lines are excellent, it was repainted about 10 years ago, taken all the way down to bare metal (bead blasted), imperfections were filled in with fiberglass, this car is not a bond bucket, it is straight as an arrow and around 90% metal. Engine was rebuilt at that time as well. It is a 400 bored .020 over, with a nice cam and runs on 93 octane. It has Muncie M-21 4-speed in it and posi traction. BF Goodrich tires are like new. The following is new on the car: Willwood front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, wheel cylinder, spring kits and drums, master cylinder and all new shocks, power brake booster, all brake lines, Hooker Comp Performance Headers, 650 Holley carb, MSD distributor, MSD plug wires, power steering pump, all fluids and gaskets, Interstate battery, all new chrome valve covers and air cleaner lid (I know this lid is for a '70, it's a personal choice for the dual snorkels) Please note (in the pictures) this is a very well documented car, I have all the receipts. I reserve the right to end this auction early. On Mar-08-12 at 08:44:43 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention this car runs 180 all day long, turns right over unlike typical big block pontiacs.Everything in the car woks including horn ,lights ,wipers dome light, heater ,turn signals, four way flashers, reverse lights are not hooked up.I will accept cash in person or wire transfers I have clean pa. title in my name.Car stays until paid in full sold as is.I am getting e mails asking the buy it now price. Its going to run until the auction ends thanks for looking good luck someone is going to get a nice black on black goat. On Mar-08-12 at 13:41:49 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked are there chips in the paint on the passanger side its the flash there are no chips on either side of the car. The next question was about around the rear window was it rusty? there is none no bubbles in the paint on the rockers or rear quarter panels, same with the front fenders.I'm getting a lot of questions on the car, I just started leaving them on this site and will continue to do so. I hope this answers other interested bidders questions.
