1967 Porsche 912 desiring to be yours! RELISTING - NOW WITH NO RESERVE AND A BUY IT NOW PRICE. I purchased this classic car last year from a friend who seldom drove it. It mostly just sat in his garage so I decided to rescue it, do a little work to it, have a little fun with it but eventually sell it when I needed some money. Well, the time has come for me to do just that. I have transitioned from a day job to a life of ministry serving Bible translators with Wycliffe Associates. Hopefully the money I receive will get me through for the next couple of months. ** Please consider a tax deductible donation to support Bible translation. More info about that and my ministry on my website at http://phillipharms.com ** About the this Porsche 912: The car is a true classic - fun to drive and gets a lot of attention when out on the road. I tend to take her out for little drives every other week but like my friend, I don't drive her much and keep her garaged. I've only filled her up 4 times since I've owned her. When I purchased her I immediately did some repairs to bring her back to driving condition: New starter, new battery, adjusted the carbs, inspected engine, fixed some wiring, replaced the muffler, new seals, rebuilt the brakes and other minor items. She's in excellent running condition and starts right up. She shifts fine through all 5 gears but the 1st gear synchronizer will need some repair as shifting from 2nd to 1st is difficult while in motion. There is a very slight vibration when you hit 70 mph but it dissipates quickly (I was told this is because of the tires sitting in one spot too long). The body is in good condition and is solid as you can see in the pictures with only minor rust issues inside the bonnet (hood). That said, she isn't perfect, there are a couple of paint problems. The drivers side window sticks a little when rolling and there is a scuff mark on the glass from such. The wheels on the car aren't the original rims but I do have them. Two of the original rims will need to be rechromed. The radio isn't original either. At some point she received a new windshield and the rearview isn't original. . About the paint, she started out sand beige according to the paint code but she obviously is now red. At some point in the late '90s she when through a restoration. My friend told me he had all of the original paperwork but lost it all when he recently moved (bummer). Additional information: The Fuchs on the car are 16's with a tire size of 215/40 R16. The stock rims are 15's.I have 2 very old workshop manuals for her.Webber CarbsEngine is stock and has not had a big bore kit installed which was a popular thing to do. My mechanic told me there is a lot of good life left in her. I called Porsche to inquire her numbers and they are confirmed matching: Vin: 458586 Engine: 750677 Transmission: 234407 (902/1) Paint: 68-6607-G All in all she is an wonderful car and her flaws aren't as bad as I make them out to be. I think that considering her age she is in very good condition though that is up to you to decide. If you're like me you would be proud to have her in your collection. She could even be a daily driver if you wanted her for such. I even thought of doing that at one point but it's just too hot in Florida with no AC. BONUS - she gets very good fuel economy. I would be honored if you would consider purchasing her from me. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. NOTE: All sales are final and is sold as is. Please do your homework to know what you are purchasing. I'm not interested in trades of any kind. I would prefer to deal in cash but so long as I can verify funds I will be okay with other methods. Picking up the car or shipping it is your responsibility. A deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction close and the balance must be funded within 3 days unless an arrangement can be made. Good luck and happy bidding.
