Up for auction at NO RESERVE to the highest bidder is my 1998 Jaguar XJ8 with only 72,500 miles. It is finished in Silver with a very clean black leather interior. As far as older Jaguars go I would say this is above average condition - HOWEVER - It appears that the head gasket went bad and I am selling AS IS . It will start and drive but it runs terrible . You can give it gas but it idles rough. If you leave it running more than lets say 5-10 minutes it gets hot and wont start. If you pull the dipstick it looks normal but when you take off the oil cap and turn the cap over . You will see "milkiness" Is that a word ? Anyway lets say there is a problem with the engine. I am not a mechanic and I do not even have a good one so that is why I am selling it the way it is and will take my loss. Up until this problem developed it seems like the car was taken real good care of and the transmission works fine as well as the options. It has nice tires and has previous paintwork that looks pretty good . Not perfect but acceptable. I urge anyone interested to make every effort to physically inspect the car in person so that is why I am doing a 7 day auction to give everyone enough time. It also has damage to the trunk and the tail lite and the rear bumper has scuffs . I think the cup holder and the antenna mast are broken from the looks of the pictures I took . ( see pic) If you want a nice project and have the skills this might be for you. I try to bring you interesting, value oriented vehicles that have been scrutinized by a knowledgeable person. My true endeavor is to allow you an opportunity to purchase a unique and exceptional vehicle at below market prices. I have priced this car at a very low price, once its gone its gone.
