This auction is for a 1971 Chevrolet 3/4 Ton C20 'Longhorn' edition pick up truck. I've owned this truck for 5 years & have driven it 15,000 miles. The mileage shows approx. 93,000 but I would bet that it is actually 193,000 miles. A month after I bought it (78,000 miles) I had the following done at the local GMC Dealer; Trans. rebuilt, drive shaft replaced, replaced the alternator, new brakes & rear end serviced. At 85,000 (8,000 miles ago) I had the engine replaced due to a thrown rod with a rebuilt (350 4V) from a local engine shop. At the same time the radiator was replaced & the trans. was serviced. I have changed the engine oil & filter every 1,000 miles (Only use Mobil Oil). I replaced the brake master cylinder & booster along with the starter about 3,000 miles ago. It is a factory A/C truck but I removed the A/C compressor because it needs rebuild, all A/C components are present & I installed a new A/C heater control panel, also the steering wheel is new. The 'Longhorn' has an 8.5' bed so the wheelbase is longer which makes the truck ride better & handle heavy loads better. HD rear leaf springs & new front shocks. I had U-Haul install a class 3 hitch 2 years ago. The 10 ply bias ply tires have 8,000 miles. No spare rim but a spare tire is included. Truck was originally sold in San Diego & had duel tanks installed (they are not functional), looks like it had a camper installed for many years. The truck is sold 'as-is' with no warranty & no returns.
