Competing under the rules for class "B" production, his cars, the Mustang GT350R owned the race track.With a Ford Windsor block displacing 289c.i. and producing more than 300 HP this light weight car could fly! In 1966 a sedan class of racing opened, and Shelby wanted to compete.However for this class,the car was required to have a completely working back seat.The GT350, had none.The answer was to use the Mustang Coupe.With all the tested and true running gear that made the GT350 such a success.Just 12 of the GT350R Coupe's were produced.All were raced with great success.This car is a tribute to those 12 cars.This car has been in only one car show and took 2nd place as it sets;it is 905 complete with just 10% needed to finish the project. I have turned my attention towards retirement and am offering this head turner to you. This mustang runs strong and drives great,I would drive it anywhere. I am sure you will enjoy it.
