This is a 1959 Ford F-250 4-Wheel Drive Long Bed Pick-up (118in. wheel base). Truck is straight and solid for age, but is in need of restoration. Some small areas of rust thru are present(in bed floor, bottoms of doors, & front floor), but truck is better than most '59's around here. Front fenders are exceptionally nice. Drive line is intact, including original transfer case. Stock 223 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine with 3-speed manual trans.(column shift) is included, but is out of truck, on a skid. Previous owner had plans to install different engine, and cut rear engine support crossmember, but I have picked up a nice used one, and it goes with truck. Otherwise, frame is very clean and straight. Windshield is original Fomoco script and is nice. The rest of flat glass is un-broken, but some has bubbles around edges. Radiator is present, looks ok, condition unknown. Otherwise, truck is mostly complete, but some items, such as air cleaner, trans cover for front floor, & exhaust system, are missing. I purchased new rubber door seals, windshield seal, back glass seal, & door glass channels, and that all goes with truck. I also removed a nicer set of window regulators, door latch mechanisms, inside handles & window cranks out of another '59 F-250, and all is included. Mileage shown on speedometer is 03926, which I assume to be over 100,000, but is not documented. I have owned this truck for about 5 years and it has a clear Indianna title. As stated, truck needs restoration, but there aren't many of these '59's left, so it should be worth the effort. A deposit of $500.00 is required with-in 24 hours, and truck is to be paid for in full with-in 7 days. Truck is to be removed from my premises with-in 30 days, unless other arrangements are made. It decodes as "F25"-F-250, "J"-223 6 cylinder engine, "9"-1959, "E"-Mahwah, New Jersey assembly plant. I have been told that the factory 4x4 trucks should start with F28 or F29 series code. As shown in pics, drive line components all appear to be from the early '59 era. This truck might have been converted when new or early in its life, or could just be some sort of a production fluke. As stated, frame is clean and not pitted, and serial number is quite clear and easy to read. Glove box data plate with axle codes and weight ratings would help clarify, but is missing. I beleive quality replacement data plates are availlable, if desired.
