For sale is a 1971 gto with 54,000 original miles. The car has never been repainted and is a special order color called rosewood metalic code 78. It has the standard 400, auto trans, ps, pb, air, factory guages with tach, and body color mirrors. I have the build sheet, protect-o-plate and copy of dealer invoice sold out of Red Oak, Ia. The numbers matching engine has never been rebuilt and has the original carb, dist., and intake. It has the original black interior in excellent condition with no cracks in the dash or seats. This car runs and drives excellent. The paint is 41 years old so it is faded and has small cracks on the top of the fenders and trunk lid but still looks great in my opinion. It has the original wide oval spare tire and all 4 T3 headlights. Over the years water has leaked in the back window down into the trunk and caused surface rust in the trunk, no holes in the trunk floor just surface rust. The under side and frame of the car is solid. I put a new exhaust system on it with ram air D-port exhaust manifolds but still have the originals.
