Up for bid is my 87 samurai with a one piece hard top. I did a lot of upgrades to this back in 04 when I got it .......... I put in a 96 tracker 16valve 1.6 engine using a petroworks harness and adapter. New clutch disk and pressure plate, Did a spring over conversion, Nylon spring bushings, custom longer shackles and over the top steering. I also put in drive shaft spacers front and rear, stainless steel door, gate hinges and wiper arm supports, full set of aluminum diamond plate interior panels, diamond plate rocker panels and quarter panels, One of the lexan/plastic windshields and the front bumper is a custom winch mount type with tow hooks. The front seats are gray cloth seats from another type of car. A tow bar that uses a two inch ball is also included and the truck is wired with a 4 prong round pig tail so that the lights work on the sammy when pulled. I have pulled this with my Motor home From Ca to NY and a lot of places in between. The odometer says 15707 but because ONE. the engine is not original and TWO. a lot of miles are pulled this is of course NOT actual. Now it has been years since I did all this....The truck still runs and drives ....but.......I will list the things that I see need attention on it but remember as I said it is still dependable as is....I just don't have the time to repair all this little stuff anymore.........Rims need repainting, the exhaust is getting noisy and rusty, the front axle knuckle seal is seeping on one side, spedo cable is broken (I have a new one just have not installed it), Brakes work but the linings are getting thin, Frame is solid but the body and fenders have rusted out and the paint is faded. The front bumper is full of chips from being towed and needs repaint. The radio and dash clock do not work. The tilt and grade/altimeter is loose and inoperable, the sammy is dirty from winter and could use a good cleaning and finally today as I opened the door to look at the odometer the drivers side outer handle broke.....These are the things I noticed.....this is of corse sold AS IS.....Their may be things I missed...... I require $500.00 non refundable deposit payed with PayPal within 24 hours of auction end with the remainder paid in full within 7days of auction end. Truck is to be picked up within 30 days or all monies paid are forfeit. Again I did my best to describe this....If you have questions ASK.....I will do my best to answer. On Feb-23-12 at 20:29:59 PST, seller added the following information: THIS SAMMY NOW COMES WITH A BRAND NEW BATTERY.......I JUST BOUGHT IT AND PUT IT IN TONIGHT....THE OLD BATTERY WOULD NOT TAKE A CHARGE ANYMORE
