This is a California "Black Plate", rare Factory Air Conditioned, Coupe DeVille. It has an original 331 cu. in., 250 h.p. engine in it. The car is a desirable Light Blue with a Beige Top and Light Bluish/Gray Interior. It has original power steering, power brakes, power windows, and "Autronic Eye". The car runs good and shifts okay, but needs restoration. The brakes need to be "bled" to be in working order. (I will have this done prior to buyer taking delivery of the car.) The Interior is partially restored with nice seats, door panels, and dash. It has 3 inch wide Whitewall tires with "nice original hubcaps", and I recently had the "AFB carburetor rebuilt." The Battery is also brand new (12 Volt system). The car has some rust as you can see in the pictures, but the floor pans and trunk feel solid. I've owned this Caddy for over 20 years, but have too many other projects and never got around to restoring it. (My Dad had a blue '55 Cad "new" in 1955 when I was six years old.) These old Cadillacs just keep going up in value in the CPI Black Book (value guide), especially Coupe DeVilles. They are great cars to restore and my car can be purchased at an entry level, collector car price. The car comes with a multitude of old engine parts and even a '55 Cadillac Parts Car. (The last 3 pictures in the gallery are of the parts car.) It also comes with a 1955 Cadillac "Owner's Manual" and a new car "Color Sales Ad" for 1955.The car is available for your immediate inspection.
