Vehicle Detail
1967 Dart Convertible: This car was part of the Mark Shof collection in Covina Ca. He is most noted for the volume of cars he owns. He also doesn't sell them, but debts forced him to give up a couple cars and this Dart is one of his cars. You can google him and see press releases on the guy. This GT Convertible is loaded up. 6 cylinder, Auto, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning, Factory Disc Brakes, Power Top. The interior is ideal with the highly sought after high back buckets with headrests, center counsel and courtousy light package. I tried to make it it a point that the car is not cut-up or touched, it is in its original condition. The body is rustfree. You can literally eat off the underside of this car. The only rust is located behind the rear wheels at the bottom of the quarters. There is some small bubbles just starting. There is no rust on the floors, rockers, the bows and windshield areas are rust free. The apron seams in the engine compartment are rust free and no swelling. The engine is very clean and the car runs. It has old gas, but does run. So, you wouldn't have problems loading it or moving it around your place. It does need a front seal for the transmission. It leaks. The color is a dark turquise metallic. I cannot figure out why it was primered over. It has a white primer on it and then there is a black mist over that. It wasn't blocked for paint either. It will have to come off when you repaint the car. I have owned a few darts in the day and when you look down the sides the panels are extremely straight. There are no dents maybe a door ding here and there, but amazingly straight. I purchased this car with the intentions of putting a newer hemi in it. I purchased a cabin and it is a money pit so, I have the car up for sale. You always here my loss is your gain, not so true. My gain is your gain. This car is so clean and if you have an engine sitting around you can just drop it in and be in heaven with the power, if not, you can enjoy the mileage wiht the 6 cylinder. Either way, it will go to a good home, go "Mopar"! I do have the upper chrome that goes along the top of the car. It isn't in the picutures, but I do have it. I can send pictures if you email me your address and then you can enlarge them, you can also call, but I am in Central time and please call before 9 pm. Thanks for the interest Tim 763-245-6507 The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early if necassary.
