Up for auction is a 1972 Porsche 911 for parts or repair. This is a complete car that has not run in 5-6 years. Rust through on the floor front and back. The engine has PMO USA Weber clone carbs. The engine has good compression. I have oiled the cylinders, drained the oil and gas from the car. I have not tried to start it. A compression check was done and it was found to have over 100 PSI on all cylinders in 2003. I have the invoice when it was in the repair shop. The engine block is marked Star 6270153 star, and 911/85. The transmission is a 5 speed and the car has 98,500 miles on the speedometer. A great sports car for parts or repair. I have an open signed certifed copy title in hand. I am selling this for the owner of the car. Buyer must pick up in La Grange, TX. 78945 half way between Houston and Austin. I have an electric winch to help load on your trailer.On Feb-21-12 at 14:40:58 PST, seller added the following information: Vin number status Hi, I have found where the vin plate was near the driver door hinge. I can see the 4 rivets where it was. For what ever reason it is gone now. Near the gas tank the number is stamped but you can only read 4 or 5 numbers. The glove box is full of insurance and license receipts with the vin number on it from when it was on the road. It may be stamped in another location but I cant' find it. Regards Randy
